Life Long Republican

Life long Republican here, my ballot has been completed for over a week minus the most important race...it has been sitting on the counter in the kitchen, I look at it 2-3 times a day but can't bring myself to fill in that last bubble. I have never voted for anyone other than a Republican, including Trump the last two times. I don't think I can do it a third...I can't get past the horror of January 6th. There is zero doubt in my mind that everything he said and did that day and the days leading up to it, were thought out and calculated on his part. Additionally, it has been unprecedented the number of individuals in his first administration, some incredibly close to him who have spoken out against him. I don't believe their warnings should be completely ignored. I don't feel he respects the rule of law and has said too many things that leave little doubt he truly feels he is above the law. How can I in good conscience vote for this individual?

Just to be clear, there is ZERO chance I vote for Harris.

I am leaning towards a write-in decision, I am fully aware of that for all intents and purposes this is essentially like not voting. It makes me feel sick.

For what it's worth, whether you vote for Trump or Harris, I am thankful WE have the right to do so.

Just curious, is anyone else this conflicted?

The Changing Political Landscape with Less Hate and Fear Mongering More Help for the Voter

I listen to many Democratic analyst who are sober and serious

Not the banshee name calling fear and hate mongering ones but the sensible ones who are looking at the American electorate and what they want from government

Their assessment is Trump is DEAD ON RIGHT

the Democrats are DEAD ON WRONG

These few Democrat Intellectuals are in a minority but have more brains than one million pounds of Adam Schiff brains

These guys are saying that if the Democratic Party does not move to the center they will be finished as a Party

So we will see what happen

All you folks that thought Trump was a criminal ready to eat crow

He is your DADDY BOYS AND GIRLS

He wasn't alone

But WOW!!

Trump won’t win. Women will carry the day for Kamala. Now, obviously Trump and the GOP will do everything they can to overturn the results, so we will have to see what happens there. But she is going to win.

trump wont win.

Remember the RED TSUNAMI of 2022? Yea, me neither.

When you are forced off the board, are you going to sneak back on like your boy @fatpiggy ?

In 2022 the polls showed a red tsunami that never happened. In this election, the polls and betting sites are being manipulated to lay the groundwork for trump to claim the election was stolen again.

That same guy has been saying trump would win NV for a while now. Must be some real movement.

It’s gong to take longer than that I think. Likely until Friday. But she will win.

Trump will claim falsely that he is the winner some time today in an effort to get his uneducated supporters to believe he was robbed.

there are going to be a lot of disappointed gamblers. Serves them right for trusting trump's campaign.

Its all been covered in this thread.

Abortion will drive Kamala's win.
She will win PA, NV and MI.
Dems will outperform the polls like they did in 2022.
Women will show out for her.
trump is relying on an unreliable younger male demographic to carry the day.
In all of these polls that you claim to believe, she has a higher favorability rating.

This is not 2016. People know who trump is and they don't like him. I know quite a few republicans who will not vote for him and want him to ride off into the sunset.

Liberal media pundits predicted Kamala Harris victory

OT: Large Family All-Inclusive Vacation Ideas (no passport required)

Wife and I considering a family vacation with our three grown children (and 2 spouses) and three young grands under 6.

Details/Preferences:
  • July-August timeframe
  • Could be anywhere from Maine to Keys, or even Puerto Rica/Virgin Islands/etc., except I'd prefer...
    • relatively simple travel (given kids ages) where no passport is needed; all but one of us would be leaving from Chas.
      • a connecting flight that leads to a small jumper plane and a van ride at the other end doesn't sound great, nor do long cross-country flights, if I'm honest
  • not have to worry about feeding everyone
  • outdoors options (adult boys like fishing, etc.)
  • childcare not needed, but children's activities would be nice
If that's not a self-excluding set of criteria, I'd appreciate any thoughts/experiences.

Republican Party

Very true. Uniparty Operatives better fall in line.

I know the Republican party thinks that they are immune from criticism right now, but let me just remind them that the American people did not give them a mandate, we gave Donald Trump a mandate because Donald Trump is the only person that actually cared about the forgotten men and women of this country.

If you rinos think that this is going to be business as usual, you will never win another election again. Because if you disappoint voters this time around, they’re not going to give you a second chance anytime soon.

This will not be a continuation of 2016 when people like Paul Ryan screwed every single Republican voter along with Democrats on the never-ending wars, obscene spending and open borders.

Both parties need to learn how to listen to their voters. Because if Donald Trump wasn’t on the ballot, things would have been very different.

So I hope some of these people in the Republican party understand that the mandate that the American people gave them is a one time get out of jail free card.

The Republican party was in control of both chambers when they denied Donald Trump the money he needed to build the wall because they said it was too expensive, we have never forgotten that.

So because both Miami and SMU beat Louisville, Clemson would need to win out and probably require either Miami or SMU lose two games to advance to the championship under ACC tiebreaker rules.

Can either of these happen, in your opinion? (Maybe only if a QB gets hurt ...)

Remaining schedules:

Miami
at Georgia Tech
vs. Wake Forest
at Syracuse

SMU
vs. Boston College
at Virginia
vs. Cal
