$4.29 for a “half” gallon of whole milk yesterday

$225 for a 9.5’ Christmas tree Sunday. That was a bit surprising.
Yup, I can confirm ... in Maryland

I started getting live 10ft trees in 2015 when we moved into the house we built that have a two story living room. I always got them from the same place, a landscaping company whose owner I knew that ran a tree stand in town. In 2015 the cost of the tree was $110. In 2019 the same sized tree was $125. In 2020 the same sized tree was $185, 2021 was $210, this year the cost wouldve been $265.

Since 2020 I thought about getting a new fake tree. I called my buddy to see what the cost was going to be this year ...... I just couldnt justify it any longer. I bought a 10ft Balsam Hill Narrow tree and bought a "Pine Tree" candle from Yankee Candle.

Ya the Balsam Hill tree was expensive, but its LED, pre lit, I can change the color of the lights from a remote, easy to put up, easy to take down and store, dont have to water it, dont have to worry about needles nor having to get rid of it after New Years, and finally ... I never have to buy a tree again.

If only Balsam Hill made their trees anywhere else but China, I would consider this one of the best purchases I have made in years.

But ya .... on thread topic .... inflation sucks .... although Im not seeing the scarcity problems ya'll are posting about. Plenty of Milk and eggs and everything really ....... I do live in a very rural area, so maybe that has something to do with it???? I know for meat, I get my beef and pork all from local farmers straight from the butcher. I buy a qtr cow twice a year. Beef cost went from $4 a pound to $4.75, but too me thats worth the cost ..... I know exactly where the beef comes from.

I don't pay average national or state prices. Is reading really this hard for the libs?

Notice there's no sympathy for the poor being unemployed and paying double to 10X for food what they did under Trump.
I'm not a lib and I still say your price quotes are BS

This reminds me of a funny story that illustrates how insane the warmists are.

A few years ago I was watching an episode of This Old House. If you aren't familiar with the show, they go to a house and make 'improvements' to it.

This episode, they were helping a family 'update' their home. They walk outside, and the house has an absolutely gorgeous front yard, with tall trees on both sides that provided the perfect amount of shade to the house itself.

The host walks outside and marvels at the yard. 'Wow look at this yard! And I just love these huge trees in the yard, aren't they gorgeous? And I just love the shade cover they provide for the property, but unfortunately, those trees are blocking a lot of sunshine on the house. And that's not going to help the SOLAR PANELS that the owners want to install on the roof, so unfortunately, these trees will have to come down."

For the rest of the episode they proceeded to destroy the trees, ruining the property, and slapped hideous solar panels on the roof. They showed the result at the end of the episode and the owners just squeed and hugged as they saw their bare property with huge solar panels all over their formerly beautiful roof.

These people are insane.

The trees fid far more to help the house than the solar panels

But what do I know

I realize some people in this thread wouldn't be caught dead in a Walmart or Aldi but I do remember 38 cent eggs and 1.24 milk here in Greenville.

The store, which was my second attempt to find a gallon of milk, only had “half” gallons. 4 friggin 29. Pet milk, not some boutique brand.

The only good thing about the idiots who voted for “the big guy” is that they too have to pay these prices.
Where the hell do you live? Further confirmation living in Oconee County is far better than any medium to big city. A dozen organic eggs is about five bucks and milk is 4.59 a gallon for the cheap crap and 5.44 for half gallon of organic grass fed milk is reasonable to me. It hasn’t really gone up that much although I do see prices up here. Nothing like what I read about in the cities though.

I got a dozen eggs today, same dozen cost 38 cents under Trump. Now it costs $3.42.

if you lived close I would share my wife’s bounty of designer eggs from her 7 laying hens she has named

retired and loving it with wife in small town with really big lot with a mini for fun farm

plant stuff but i have developed a black thumb LOL

every week 84 eggs or 7 dozen so we share with neighbors along with other stuff like home nade wine, vegetables, deer meat, etc

I would even share with liberals on here as they are people too LOL
