Anyone care to give their take? Would love to hear what some of you more liberal leaning, anti-Trumpers think about what McCabe just admitted.
18 reads and no takers. I guess I can understand that. As many of you have stated, we are all "on the record" here in prior threads/discussions. Get your popcorn ready. This is gonna be good.
Well, I didn't see the actual 60 min interview, but I did read the FoxNews version as well as the MSNBC version and the plain old AP News. Personally, I don't have a problem with this.
First of all, the DoJ and the FBI can't hatch a "plot" to remove the President using the 25th Amendment. Over half the President's Cabnet (including the VP) have to vote that the President is crazy to remove him. These aren't Deep State folks even by you tinfoil hat wearers standards (I'm assuming that you define the deep state the same way you do fake news... as anyone who disagrees with Trump whether they are right or wrong). These are folks that Trump appointed to these positions and his own running mate. So the DoJ and FBI were planning on going to THESE folks to remove Trump, right? Sounds like the system is working as intended b/c a US President that openly believes the leader of an enemy country over our own intelligence agencies may be a bit off his rocker. Personally, I'm not convinced that Trump is crazy, but if folks at the DoJ and FBI think he may be, having a discussion about it and taking that to the President's cabnet and VP is exactly what they should do.
It's interesting how many people are just lying about Trump according to Trump to "get him". And the only way we know they are is because the liar in chief is TELLING us they are lying... Right.
Does it not bother you that the DNC refused to allow the FBI to forensically study their servers? Why would the FBI not simply confiscate the server(s); especially if national security was at stake?
I don't begrudge anyone their opinion. People who believe the way you do, fail to understand that Trump, as POTUS has access to all of the intelligence and nothing is classified above his level. He knows what the intelligence communities really know. This idea that was reported by, yes, fake news, that 17 different intelligence agencies signed off that Russia hacked the DNC server and Podesta's email has been proven to be patently false. You see, Brennan and Clapper are snakes and you will see this exposed as well. Does it not bother you that the DNC refused to allow the FBI to forensically study their servers? Why would the FBI not simply confiscate the server(s); especially if national security was at stake? Have you ever looked into Crowd Strike?
Currently, McCabe and Rosenstein are calling each other liars. Comey and McCabe have contradicted each other. Targets of the Mueller investigation have been indicted for lying to Congress. McCabe was recommended for firing by the OIG for lying and leaking classified information. Should he not be served justice in the same manner? IS equal justice under the law a real thing, or do we have two distinct applications of justice? One for Washington outsiders, like Trump, and another for Washington insiders.
1. The FBI has admitted they were given images of the servers from before they were wiped.
2. Being the 140 or so servers were mostly cloud-based the DNC wouldn't have physical access to most of them.
But I know facts don't matter around here.
You argue from the premise: Trump is right, and then you work yourself outwards to try to fit your world view into everyone else's. You're a conspiracy theorist, who's working off the legal pad of a NY huckster.I don't begrudge anyone their opinion. Donald Trump is a weak person who uses bully tactics to win arguments. The infatuation with the DNC is a way to distract from him being an absolute train wreck in the office of the presidency. You know that the bill for government funding he vetoed had more money in it for the wall than the one he got after shutting the government down... right?
He's not a stable genius. He's just a distracting fool. He takes credit for the hard work of others and can't focus long enough to read this thread.
Theres plenty to criticize the DNC over, that doesn't mean that Trump is anything other than what he is.
What a load of crap. The intelligence agencies have repeatedly testified before congress and stated publicly and on record that Russia meddled with the election. Trump has repeatedly and in public said he doesn't believe them and seems to put more weight on Putin's denial than our own intelligence agencies. It's amazing how everyone else is a snake and a liar, but Trump is the only straight shooter here. Hell Trump appointed Rosenstein. Wonder what happened to only appointing the best? It's amazing how many people Trump says are wonderful, but when they disagree with him, THEN they are pure crap. Just like fake news... it fake if it disagrees with Trump. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. Trump isn't concerned with law or truth. Trump is concerned with Trump. Period.
All the DoJ employees are part of the Deep State, all the FBI is working against Trump. The intelligence agencies are wrong and Putin is our friend. NATO is a waste of money. The press is the enemy of the people. The Dems are all criminals and enemies of the people. Notice a pattern here? Anyone who disagrees with the Dear Leader is an enemy to be attac
The Trumpians on this board would line their daughters up for Trump to fondle if he asked them to... The man does no wrong and walks on water. Trump really could walk out on the street and shoot someone and he'd still have his base here. Now repeat after me Trumpians.... "There is no God but Trump and Hannity is his Profit"

Ill just ignore your conspiracy theory nonsense. You argue from the reporting of left-winged propagandist who have hated Trump from the beginning and will not factually report anything. Smollett and the Covington kids are just the latest.
You need to tell me exactly how Trump has been a train wreck in the presidency.
Yes, the bill he signed had less money. Was that his fault? You do know that every Dem who is now against border security has previously been for it, right? Trump showed the world what a bunch of liars and skunks the dems are when it comes to protecting the border. You do know that your queen, Nancy Pelosi said Trump would not get 1 dollar for the border wall right? Well? Trump has always known that he can find money elsewhere and that the Army Corp of Engineers would be building the wall. Which they currently are doing.
You guys keep right on down playing the guy. He's running circles around all of you.
Look at the bottom of this pic. You know what the Red Castle means?
Ill just ignore your conspiracy theory nonsense.
You actually believe that a gay actor lying about some bs has anything to do with whether or not Trump is a good president? These things are mutually exclusive, if you don't understand that and you don't view the world that way, then let me tell you: You are not a good judge of reality.
Also, i don't have a queen this is a representative democracy.
Look people can be terrible on both sides of things, thats how it actually works. I don't view things as from a far left point of view. You might be surprised at the things we agree upon. Where we defer here is that I know for a fact that DJT is not a capable politician or leader of the free world.
HOW? Well I can tell you a number of ways. First: He trusts what Putin says over what our own intelligence agencies tell him. You can't weasel your way out of that being a horrible self mutilating judgement and decree.
Second: He manufactured the government shutdown and is usurping the constitutional bounds of our government in order to solve a problem that could achieve with actual political discourse and compromise. He really could.
Third: He made our healthcare costs balloon by taking away the mandate to buy insurance, the tax. Personally, my bill went up 40%. Thanks Trump, but hey the billionaires are happy.
Fourth: He campaigned on draining the swamp. Something I could get behind. Problem is he is a product of the swamp. Stone, Manafort etc, look em up. I bet you didn't have a clue who they even were until their indictments.
Fifth: His foreign policy is nonsense. Removing ourselves from the Iran deal with nothing in its place is OBJECTIVELY a train wreck. We already gave them their money back, Trump backing out of the deal was in effect, surrendering our ability to inspect their nuclear plants. Total and complete idiocy. Also, backing out of the missle treaty with Russia, was EXACTLY what they wanted us to do. Also, him trying to destabilize and undermine NATO is terrible for our security. '
Sixth: The trade war with China. Do you think its going well? Go ask the farmers. Go look at the books where we are now spending billions to bail out the farmers.
In short, Trump is lucky he has such an ignorant and biased support base and that the economy is chugging along making up for the huge losses from a decade ago. He's objectively a train wreck. The wall is stupid and he probably cost the taxpayers BILLIONS alone by shutting down the government for so long. He's a huckster, a confidence man and he's got your number.

I actually liked and then unliked this post so that I could like it again. I'm with you @firegiver ... 100%. I'm a moderate myself and don't actually hate everything that Trump ran on. I got no problem draining the swamp. I have no problem with rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure. I'm high as hell on spending money on Defense and have no problem with him creating a militarized "space force". Hell, I don't even love Obama care. I got no problem with repealing it IF YOU HAVE A DECENT PLAN TO REPLACE IT WITH. That was the whole problem. After almost a decade of running against it, the Republican party had NO PLAN to replace it with... NOTHING.
My problem is with Donald Trump. This dude has spent his whole life taking care of himself and himself only. He will say and do ANYTHING to further his own interests. He is a dude that inherited a quarter Billion dollars from his dad and through a lifetime of hard work (mostly other peoples) has amassed a fortune about equal to what he would have earned had he invested that fortune in T-bills instead of real estate (of course he wouldn't have gone bankrupt four times with T-bills).
This guy is a lying con man and he's conned about 30% of the country into believing that hundreds of Americans on both sides of the aisle have somehow come together (risking a lifetime in federal prison) in a massive conspiracy to "get" Trump. That he is the smartest guy on the planet and that anyone who disagrees with him is part of some vast conspiracy. That the free press is the enemy of the people. That he is going to save the coal industry (in spite of the fact that more coal plants have closed in the first two years of Trump than did in the first 4 of Obama). That he is going to save the steel industry even though HE bought Chinese steel for his own projects. And on and on.
Unfortunately, people don't like to admit they have been conned. And don't get me wrong. Trump is an EXCELLENT con man. He says things simply and directly and a lot of people like that about him. Very few things in this life are easy, simple, or purely black and white. But when you are not encumbered by the need to even try and tell the truth, you just respond in generalities and make everything sound good. Remember the "beautiful, tremendous" healthcare plan that Trump campaigned on? No specifics, but it was going to be better than Obamacare and less expensive. BELIEVE HIM! He told you to. Obviously he had a whole bunch of NOTHING. But again, people don't like to be wrong and no matter what Trump says or does, the folks on here believe in him with the same intensity that they espouse for Jesus himself.

LOL. Dont let the facts get in your way Its not 17 for sure, but it was and is a scam. They will get whats coming to them though I still think.
Right... All those agencies are lying to the country and Donald Trump is the one telling the Truth... whatever dude.
From your source:You just ignored the articles that proved you and others wrong. It confirms the fallacy that 17 agencies made that assessment. It was more like 4 or so, but once again the 4 are deep state controlled. Fighting to keep Trump and his allies from taking back the country.
Huge internal civil war going on within intelligence and all other parts of our government. Dan Coats will be gone in the near future is my prediction and please dont give me this crap about Trump taking the word of Russia over our intelligence community...thats BS. He is though not going to go for everything they say or they just defacto run the country. This is the same intelligence community that told Bush there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Take that and smoke it and then think about it.
From your source:
"
It’s valid for Trump to criticize news organizations for not being specific enough in their reports (more on that in a bit). But this does not invalidate the report by the CIA, FBI, NSA and Director of National Intelligence, nor their "high confidence" in their judgment that Russia engaged in an influence campaign directed at the election.
"
Let me lay this out for you: The CIA, FBI, NSA and Director of National Intelligence know more about the happenings in this world that DJT. The fact that the press said 17 or 4 doesn't take away from the facts, its just the boy who cried wolf on the facts he didn't like.
The fact is, DJT hates the press reporting on the intelligence agencies agreeing that Russia meddled in our elections. WHY? Because, he's either A) A crazy person who doesn't deserve the office
B) A Russian stooge
C) Both.
Look, why is he even having this fight? He could just say, yah whats up with those Russians? Yikes, they suck. But no, he's doing everything in his power to destabilize alliances made from the blood of WW2.
The best thing about the internet, is that it doesn't forget, and it doesn't forgive, you will be documented as being on the wrong side of history.
I'm not going anywhere. Muller saying he doesn't have proof of a crime committed by DJT isn't going to surprise me. The crazy part is the indictments he's already got and people like yourself gagging on the Trump dick.I was just pointing out that he was wrong about 17 and I successfully did that. We will see what happens when the much heralded Mueller Report comes out. Are you guys going to slink off and hide for 6 months or come and take your medicine and also start giving our great President his just due for the great job he has done so far?
My President and he is doing a hell of a job! Not Mount Rushmore level..............they will have to find a great mountain just for Trump with what he is doing in the face of never before seen obstructionism.
I'm not going anywhere. Muller saying he doesn't have proof of a crime committed by DJT isn't going to surprise me. The crazy part is the indictments he's already got and people like yourself gagging on the Trump dick.

Russia meddled in the elections. Trump asked them to do so during a campaign speech. Those are facts. However, I dont recall coming in here and demanding to lock him up or any of that. What you appear to be wrestling with is a straw man.Why is it not going to surprise you? With all the talking you and others have done, would think otherwise. Sounds like duck and run to me if it happens. I will be here if he is proven to have worked with Russia to steal the election. You and others have basically accused Trump of treason against the USA for the last 2 years....thats a lot to just say "I am not surprised" and then continue with the bashing.

See this is where you are wrong. I don't hope he is guilty of that, because I care about my country before my tribe. Most of you guys are hoping against hope that Trump is guilty of Conspiracy with the Russians and somehow, someway the Russians stole the election from your queen, Hillary.
lol oh ok. he's just joking. cool cool. Just some light joking around about foreign powers intelligence interfering with my political opponents. Its hilarious. No, you're now officially full of shit. Trump did not ask the Russians to do any such thing. I was actually watching that press conference in Florida as it happened. Trump joked that maybe the Russians could find Hillary's missing 30k emails that mysteriously disappeared into thin air. The press laughed when he said it. It wasn't until the Hillary spin machine twisted it and the press got behind it, that weak-minded fools started believing that BS.
lol oh ok. he's just joking. cool cool. Just some light joking around about foreign powers intelligence interfering with my political opponents. Its hilarious.
Facts are you care more about the R next to his name than you do about your country.
I don't view republicans as boogie men or monsters the way im certain you view democrats. Because thats the only explanation of your worldview that allows Trump so much forgiveness.

No, I actually look a what people do as well as what they say. I didn't even vote for Trump in the SC primary. I came around much later.
Apparently you are the one that cares about the party. I'd be interested in hearing who you're hoping the dems run against Tr ump. For the record, there are very few repubs that I respect, but certainly no dems except maybe Joe Manchin.
You realize you are getting destroyed in here. You're argument here is: Nuh uh you do!
Way above i listed why I consider the Trump presidency to be a train wreck. No one will touch that list because they can't or wont.
He offered evidence in post #16, which I believe he was referring too.
I gave you evidence. You are ignoring it. I'd bet that without google you couldn't tell us who Hitchens is in that meme.
