I respect your decision for you and your family. If you had gotten Covid you likely would have been fine. Where I get frustrated is people that should have gotten the vaccine due to their health and age refusing due to the fears sown for political purposes.
My son and I both got Covid before the vaccine was available. It was one of the key information points in our decision. He was 100% perfect within 24 hours. I had chills and felt like shit, but was 100% perfect in 36 hours.
When your natural immune system dispatches a virus so efficiently, why would you want to alter it?
I get that, and again don't think I've ever given you a hard time about it. I was vaccinated mainly due to the fact that I am constantly working very closely with a lot of people everyday at work, in addition to my Wife being in education and being surrounded by sick kids. I didn't need to miss work for 10 days due to Covid.
My concern and what pisses me off is when people who should have gotten the vaccine were lead not to by dumbasses and lost their lives.
I remember a year or two ago questioning @acwill07 about being a leftist in disguise and he had a full-fledged meltdown…

Everything on a message board is a great waste of time.
You have no reason to be concerned with my diet because I trust the experts to guide me and optimize my health vs “doing my own research”. Just saw my functional medicine doctor yesterday for my annual blood analysis and body composition analysis. That bad news is that in my mid 40s my body fat has increased to 16% but we are developing a plan to get that back down to 10-12%.
That was one of my biggest gripes in the propaganda. They should have super clearly told the public who was actually at risk (elderly, obese, comorbid) and told them that it was particularly important that they get vaccinated (and immediately begin addressing controllable health issues like obesity).
Obesity should have been declared a public health emergency circa April 2020 when we knew that was a leading factor in covid complications. Imagine the burden we could have taken (and still could take) off the healthcare system if we reduce our obesity levels to those seen in Europe?

There was no statistical evidence to support what you are saying. We had the best in the world analyzing this virus and that wasn’t apparent until well later in the process. And even then, it took a while to understand what comorbidities were most impactful.
And I couldn’t agree more with your stance on people needing to take more responsibility for their personal health. But the govt should also limit what food can be sold. 90% of what is in your average grocery store should not be consumed.
And you and the doctors all know that the death of these people was a direct result of not taking the vaccine? There were no other complications that could have caused the death? Was an autopsy performed?
In these instances they literally got sick with Covid,went into the hospital and died due to the complications of Covid.
This argument always puzzles me, you realize nobody died from AIDS right? They died due to the weakened immune system leading to other sickness such as pneumonia that their weakened bodies couldn't fight off.
And you are doing the very thing that you are accusing me of, deflection instead of accountability. if I had my way neither of these candidates would be on the ballot but we have what we have and I will vote the lesser of the two evils, Trump. Biden, in my view, is the antithesis of what our forefathers believed and did when they gave this country our two founding documents. America is about exceptionalism, Biden is not exceptional in any phase of his presidency. Every day he proves that.

So in an unrepublican, pro regulation stance, I agree with you here. Our food supply is dogshit. A recent example is California banning red dye 40, which I completely agree with. If you go to Europe, you don’t see all of the fake shit that we have here.
In a scotchtiger presidency, this would be a top priority. Our food and diet is a foundational reason for our healthcare system troubles.
I agree 100%. I spent the first 30 years of my life in food service and we serve absolute garbage. We also have a jacked up sense of portions in America. You don't need a 16 oz steak, ever.

Me too. I eat very carefully and basically have a cheat weekend once a month where I drink beer and eat really caloric food. All about moderation.
I’m not deflecting when I made the list in relation to a point that was made about republican credibility and the ensuing reply to my post was to shift topics.
I will add in general and not directed at the reply above that I believe a strong Republican party is an important part of governance but that I am woefully disappointed at how weak the party is in kowtowing to all things Trump and continually misinforming/distracting voters rather than the better days of Reagan & O’Neill collaborating and actually discussing true issues together. We as a nation traditionally have been best served when one party held the White House, the other held Capitol Hill, and only the most important stuff got done. Campaign cycles were shorter back then too, which was good. Democrats sure aren’t perfect, very true, but at least they excoriate their own offenders when the case is actually made so let’s not both-sides this. Both lists above, on the other hand, are wildly sad depictions of how far the GOP has fallen. And only its voters can effect change for the positive rather than constantly hurling pointless, baseless insults that actually serve to defend its legislators’ own critical flaws.

Wife’s grandfather died in his early 70s around the third month of COVID. Excellent health otherwise. Ran 5ks and half marathons in the months leading up to it. No health issues at all.
If we are against euthanasia how are we cool with COVID running rampant? Shouldn’t we do what we can to stop otherwise healthy people from dying?

The Democrat party basically has nowhere to fall currently as it is at the bottom now and has been there for some time. That is pitiful as is the general decline in the political arena in all areas.

They were still able to spread it to teachers admin,and others. It's basically the same as other vaccines that they are required to have for school.
