It was posted that Trump has never made a unity statement and I quoted Trump and refuted the post and then I was told his statement wasn’t good enough. You can’t make this stuff up. Fact check you and expose you and you still keep coming. And I can assure you he’s made many others on unity. I may as well bang my head into a wall as opposed to posting here. Much less painful.

Kamala Harris gave a rehearsed speech. She memorized a bunch a stuff. She talked about things we have never heard her mention. She didn’t answer one question. She was asked about fixing the economy and her answer was she came from middle class roots. Blah, blah, blah. She answered nothing.

I would have preferred some form of oversight over the distribution of PPP loans so they weren't just distributed to any and every business. "The PPP program seems to have resulted in billions of dollars of fraudulent loans that have ultimately turned into grants," said Samuel Kruger, an assistant professor of finance at the University of Texas at Austin who co-authored a paper estimating that $64 billion of the nearly $800 billion in loans issued show signs of fraud, such as suspiciously high payrolls and multiple businesses listed at the same home address. Hell, the SBA said something like 70k loans were fraudulent.
edit: I understand it's easy to monday morning quarterback this stuff, and that it was important to get money out fast into the hands of businesses that did need it. However, acknowledging a need for improvement and pointing out how businesses were able to take advantage of the system will hopefully lead to improvements in a similar loan process if it's ever needed in the future.
And I would argue that fraud occurs in every federal program, I will tell you that many of my clients (especially in the hospitality arena) would not have made it without the loans. The federal government did have an audit process (100% audited over $2 million and various ones below that amount were audited as well). I have zero use for any business that did not follow the rules and they should be prosecuted, but shutting down the country was killing businesses and those that followed the rules should NOT be criticized.
I agree with all this. I didn't have an issue with PPP loans because there were plenty of businesses that needed it to survive. I just think the government took the approach that getting money to businesses outweighed the concern of potential fraud. Which, personally I agreed with, but it was funny coming from a conservative administration.
I didn't have a problem with the PPP program and I give him credit for that as it kept my company afloat without any layoffs during that time, however, it did highlight the folly of huge unnecessary tax cuts without offsetting spending cuts that caused the deficit to explode. The 2 trillion that was added to the deficit would have come in handy at that time and would have softened the blow of the PPP payout.
We did have funding oversight through the audits that were performed, if you wanted to create a new oversight group before the funds were distributed-many businesses would not have been unable to wait and failures would have occurred with mass unemployment as a result.
Did you watch the actual speech that Trump gave? 10 minutes of unity, then 90 minutes of grievances and anger. People at the RNC were falling asleep.

J6 was one of the worst days in US history and certainly one of the top two tragedies that I've ever seen (9-11 being the other). Americans attacking our US Capital over absolutely unfounded accusations of a stolen election, chanting hang Mike Pence, attacking the police who tried to protect the occupants of the Capital building, etc. all while Benedict Donald waited 189 minutes to do anything about it. POTUS did absolutely nothing for 189 minutes while the US Capital was being attacked! Think about that. Really think about it.
