Bidens economy continues to crush the less fortunate. Poor families, which includes a larger % of minorities, continue to struggle to afford food, gas, rent and other necessities. If cold weather hits before the election, heating their homes will be come an additional struggle.
Hopefully it opens the eyes to the abject disdain the dem party has for the poor and makes them realize voting dem for the last 50 yrs has gained them nothing but more struggles and govt dependency - which is the dem goal.
Infrastructure investment is the economic policy most necessary right now. Infrastructure creates more good jobs for everyone including the poor and minorities.

So how much of other peoples money are you willing to spend?

No need for you to say anything because I already know the answer. You want other people to spend their money. Not you.

This administration has crippled the middle class, the poor, and minorities. People are spending hundreds of dollars more every month for basic stuff: food, gasoline, housing/rent, utilities--the list goes on and on.

Everything American citizens spend money on has gone up dramatically in the last 3 1/2 years, yet you want to spend more of other people's money, spend money we don't have, and raise inflation even more. If there was a such thing as an "internet dunce cap", you should be wearing it.

You and Margeret Thatcher are both wrong. Infrastructure investment benefits everyone so there is no "other peoples" money. And done properly, infrastructure investment can help reduce inflation. And provide other benefits.

So disregard essentially everything I said only to spew this drivel.

What is your plan? Why don't you spell it out for all of us. We could all stand to learn from someone as educated as you.

In short, infrastructure (and the jobs it creates) reduces welfare and the need for unemployment insurance. More employment means less crime and better health in general. And I believe better education outcomes.

Hambone, is it really that difficult for you?

Is repairing old and crumbling bridges, roads and railways important or not? How about clean drinking water?

If you pay people to repair them, they have jobs. Are jobs important?

If people have jobs, they spend money. Spending money helps the economy.

Thanks for joining my Ted Talk

You and dickpick @dpic73 are too stupid to breathe. Who pays for this "ish" you are proposing? Oh, that's right, the taxpayers.

Your party has pissed money down a hole for DECADES. DECADES.

I'll tell you what stops crimes. Start actually prosecuting the people that commit them. Put them in prison. That would stop it.

To say there is no "other peoples money" is just ridiculous. A large portion of the population has a minimal to zero effective tax rate. The people that use most of the govt resources pay the least for them.
Also, please explain how it can reduce inflation.

I thought we had already heard the stupidest thing you could ever say, but you've topped yourself here.

Exactly who is supposed to pay for the roads, bridges and railways that need to be repaired or replaced? 🤔

What are your proposed spending cuts? I'll agree with you that we should not spend a penny on EV's or charging stations. Meanwhile back in the '80s, the Dem proposed at least once, possibly more times, budgets less than Reagan submitted. Reagan sure did spend on defense which propped up his jobs numbers.

I refuse to believe you are this dumb. You have to be a troll account.

Inflation is not 3%. And the total inflation since 2021 is closer to 35-40%. Which again makes since considering we printed 40% of the worlds money supply in just 1 year.

As I have told you several times. EVERYTHING is more expensive because your purchasing power has been destroyed. Especially the equity market.
I wonder what the equity market vs. actual inflation?

So you'd agree to more taxes for more prisons and prison personnel but not for infrastructure to get them to the prison? You're a genius. By the way, we already lead the world in imprisonment.

We are going to need more prisons for the good bit of criminals who have now made this great place their home illegally.
Thanks Prez!

That's just patently untrue. No statistical evidence or metrics come to that conclusion. Just spouting lies you heard on Fox or want so badly to be true in your bigoted little brain, regardless of the evidence. Propaganda and social manipulation...it's real.

Dear Lord. Just shut-up.
If you can't see what has happened then just continue living in your little world and let us grown-ups try and fix what you kids and your socialist, anti-democracy, traitor leaders have done.

The only bigoted brain in this conversation is the one calling the other the bigot!

Revenue for such projects should always be kept as close to the project as possible. For example a state gas tax for state road improvements makes the most sense. Same for bridge repair.
That means the taxpayer will still be paying for it and in South Carolina, the federal govt. has to make up the difference in funding needed to repair their infrastructure. I haven't lived there in many years but it seems like they are also inept when it comes to completing a project in a timely manner(see I-85 between Greenville and the NC border). Maybe the infrastructure law helps to speed up that timeline but regardless, it takes revenue from taxation to get any of it done.

You're just delusional. All unrealistic perception and no reality. You want to fix things that arent broke, and ignore real problems. You can't fix things when you believe in fairy tales from your cult.

Never ceases to amaze me how much anti-democratic rhetoric is spouted by you ignorant people in the name of saving democracy. And you're just oblivious to it. Sad.

But he's heard Trump say they are all a bunch of criminals so it has to be true....right?

So, you’re going to choose to not use common sense in this mathematical equation?

Yes the taxpayer will need to pay for it. But it should be local utilization based taxes rather than federal income based taxes. Makes zero sense for me to pay 40X more for road improvements than someone who uses it the same or more than I do.

Whether you use the roads or not, you'll still be benefitting from the overall boost to the economy that comes with an additional ~ 700,000 jobs a year.

The trucks that supply you with all your stuff cross state lines. Do you prefer dirt roads?

We're talking about infrastructure, not income support spending.

Crowded and dilapidated roads increase costs for truckers delivering household goods. And supplies and machinery for factories and construction sites. And for citizens to get to work, shopping, doctor's appointments, etc. Mass transit can hopefully help some in this regard. Finally, the American Society of Civil Engineers includes ports as worthy of further investment. We all saw the effect on inflation from supply chain disruptions.

What is sad is your denial.
I won't change your mind, so you enjoy living as you do and I will enjoy living as I do. I won't sit here anymore and go back and forth with you. Your childish posts are a waste of time. It is people like yourself that will destroy this country. Good thing it's not up to you!
