The US Supreme Court on Friday CRUSHED Joe Biden’s student loan bailout program.
Joe Biden unilaterally announced a massive forgiveness of student loans last August to buy the Gen Z-Millennial vote in the 2022 midterms.
Biden canceled over $400 billion in student loans which turns out to be up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers who earn $125,000 a year or less and up to $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants.

Six Republican state attorneys general sued Joe Biden and argued the student loan bailout violates the separation of powers.
Conservatives Are Looking For Ways To Boycott and Move Spending Away From Woke Corporations -- Here Is One Way To Do It
Separately, two borrowers who did not qualify for Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan sued to stop the program.
The 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals in November extended a block on Joe Biden’s student loan bailout plan.
The DOJ then asked the Supreme Court to lift the 8th Circuit Court’s block.
The Supreme Court left the block in place while they heard oral arguments and deliberated.
On Friday, the Supreme Court put the final nail in the coffin and invalidated Biden’s student loan bailout program.
NBC NEWS reported:
The court divided decisions on the student loan cases. Here’s the breakdown of how justices landed:
Case One: Department of Education v Brown
Justice Samuel Alito: Delivered the majority opinion in a unanimous decision.
Case Two: Biden v. Nebraska
Chief Justice John Roberts: Delivered the majority opinion. He was joined by Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
Justice Elena Kagan: Filed the dissenting opinion. She was joined by Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson.
In striking down Biden’s student loan forgiveness, the high court cited Pelosi.
“People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone. He can delay. But he does not have that power. That has to be an act of Congress.”

DEVELOPING…

Another victory for Donald Trump as he will use this to his advantage on the campaign trail as he challenges to win the Republican primary. Not saying DeSantis doesn’t have a chance but he definitely has an uphill battle.

This shows how radical the 3 left-wing judges are. This should have been a 9-0 ruling. The absurdity that if you takeout a loan and not pay it back is ridiculous. These college grads who spend money on video games, beer and their favorite onlyfans don't think they should have to worry about these pesky little things called " bills" .

How is this a win for Trump? This is a win for Dems. Now they can campaign on the need for a supermajority in the senate so that they can pass this legislatively and name more judges throughout the judicial system.

Republicans, for decades, have made being able to get a conservative majority on the court a major campaign issue and now it’s the Democrats who get to go on the offensive on that issue.

I'm actually so-so on the student load forgiveness stuff. I can see both sides of this for sure.

I think it's just funny (not in a good way) that Republicans were ALL ABOUT bailing big corporations out when they needed it (and Dems were bitching) and now Dems are all about forgiving student loans (and the Republicans are bitching).

No one is really AGAINST government bailouts, they are just AGAINST it when they don't like who's being bailed out.

So what do you want Trump to do? Make false promises of free college tuition and talk about keeping borders open? Seems like he would probably lose the primary if he ran on that platform. I don’t care who’s president no one is changing the number of judges EVER. All of Biden’s promises got shut down this week. All the ones he promised when he “ran” for president in 2020. Sooner or later the voters will wise up to the nonsense that’s being thrown their way. Or not and they’ll continue to get played for suckers.

And the irony of these Supreme Court justices enjoying lavish, unreported benefits, including getting their houses paid off, while keeping students from getting some help

What are those noises you're making? Biden is one of the more legislatively accomplished president's in history. Damn dude, read a paper some time.

O poor babies can't get no help? So sad, maybe the guy who took their order at McDonald's should be more giving to these poor downtrodden college grads.

Speaking of false promises and voters being suckers, how’s that border wall that Mexico was paying for coming along, by the way?

Didn’t pass because Congress said it would be too much Monday. Meanwhile then allow Ukraine to thrive off of American taxes. And if you think DeSantis is going to come in and fix the border then you’re living on false hope. You seem like a smart guy right? As a guy who doesn’t vote but follows politics I can easily break it down for you.

You ever hear of the USMCA genius? Have you bothered to look at reality? Trump has generated a tremendous increase in add on revenue from Mexico from this and he had to fight congress repubs and dems tooth and nail to get around 5B to build the significant amount of new wall that was completed. This is also while congress shits away hundreds of billions on stupid shit that doesn't help America at all. I as a conservative totally unequivocally give Trump credit for fulfilling that promise and could not care less that you as an outed socialist wants to denigrate his vast achievements.

Do you see how you’re literally making the argument that I’m making in regards to this Supreme Court decision? That the President will be able to campaign on the need for more democrats in congress who can pass legislation, which the Supreme Court said is how debt forgiveness should be passed.

You’re saying Trump isn’t to blame for the broken promise of the big, beautiful wall because congress refused to pass it but saying Biden is to blame for a broken promise because…congress didn’t pass it.

Government shouldnt be involved in student loans … at all.

this...every industry govt gets involved in completely goes to sht. student loans, mortgages, healthcare etc...

if they enter, it becomes an unmitigated disaster because they have no accountability, discipline, or competence.

whether it's by forgiveness or default, a majority of those loans will never be repaid. too many useless degrees have been financed by too many braindead people from too many pointless colleges that created a bunch of unemployable lemmings who's economic ideology is they shouldn't have to pay for anything ever.

write em off, allow anyone who's repaid loans to use the principal as a tax deduction against federal income amortized at their discretion until the loan hits 0.

take the opportunity to demand forgiveness be met with a complete and total overhaul of the dept of education leadership and k-12 curriculum. reading and stem prioritized, no hs diploma without passing some standard of knowledge of credit, interest, debt, banking, bills etc. encourage careers like electrical, plumbing, it etc.

charge colleges some collective sum for their lack of contribution to the workforce. it's a waste of time for most people, i learned nothing in my 4 years i couldn't have picked up in maybe 6 months on the job out of high school. college needs to be revamped and specialized. if you aren't doing anything highly technical like engineering or preparing for med school, there's no need for 4 or more years of school. i can say for the investment world, if you're worth employing everything you might need to be prepared for the real world can be learned in 2 at the most. if you want to dick around and pay for irrelevant filler classes for 2 additional ones to party, go for it. but there's no reason to waste time and money for people who want to work. i loved college, but i didn't learn all that much that benefitted my career, and anything i did learn i would have picked up on the fly anyway. make education about education. schools should just get rid of basically anything liberal arts as a major. i'm a huge nerd about history and philosophy, i read tons of it. spending 4 years to call yourself a history major though is a gargantuan waste of time and money. a small handful of schools should offer programs for true career historians, but for the other 500k history majors moonlighting as starbucks baristas and bartenders, they've wasted thousands of dollars and years of life that could have been spent on something productive. put useless colleges and degrees out of business. put the government out of loans. teach people things they actually need to know.

call it make america competent again.

But then where would all the money go? I agree that for many college is just another 4 years of delaying starting your adult life.

It has become the expected and if you dont go, then people wonder what is wrong with you. Our education system is extremely flawed from k-college.

As for this SCOTUS decision, it was a no brainer. And the Dems in power knew that it would never fly. They pander and promise for the votes. Make an empty effort at an executive decision by Biden to use taxpayers money, which he has no constitutional right to do. This instead of using their majority in congress for 2 years to actually do it right.

Then they know a case will be brought up by a state or 6. Heck. They probably agreed on this with the reps. Then the “conservative” SCOTUS rules against it. As it should have. And the 3 “liberal” justices vote against it. Which is insane.

All that to simply make a show and drive more division on a case that should have been 9-0 vote. But yes the SCOTUS appears more political now than ever. If only because of the extreme nature of the cases they seem to come up against.

This should be a non story. And if anyone really wants to make a difference. The general populace should be taught more on the actual roles and capabilities of the branches of government. Because politicians take advantage of the ignorance and use it to create more and more division when it is misplaced.

You can disagree with people not getting help with the loans. Who cares. This ruling was that the president does not have the power to control the purse strings. That is Congress job.

Yea. This is obviously the right decision. And people who want government handouts are quite clearly losers. But there’s a lot of these losers and this will be a net positive voting issue for dems.

You are adorable. Claiming that only dems want government handouts.

Comparing apples and oranges. PPP loans were to be used for employee pay and owner’s did not “pocket the money”. They were agreed on the front end to be forgiven if spent appropriately, plus congress approved them. Nothing similar to student loans.

That is complete and utter bullshit. I took a loan for $150k and paid back every cent plus interest. Those politicians are crooks, and if you cannot admit to that you are part of the problem.

You do not even understand the program for PPP loans. They were available to cover payroll expenses and keep companies from firing employees. Very different than student loans

You took out a PPP loan? If so, did you not spend the proceeds to cover your employee’s pay? If so, did your CPA advisor totally drop the ball and not inform you on how to get appropriate forgiveness?

lol what do dividend recipients contribute?

You’re going to have to help me understand how these are even remotely similar. Are you suggesting that someone earning money by creating economic value, then investing that money in a company’s stock, then receiving dividends as part of that investment, then paying taxes on those dividends is somehow similar to someone receiving money from the government for doing absolutely nothing?

This sick admin will not give up. No respect for judicial branch when they disagree with it.

Joe Biden Spits on Constitution Again and Announces New Student Loan Bailout Scheme – Will Cost Taxpayers Hundreds of Billions of Dollars (VIDEO)

Wannabe dictators care nothing for those who try to hold them accountable and many seek to jail their political opponents. Joe Biden qualifies with flying colors.
As Fox News reported, Biden his newest new student loan bailout scheme called the “Save Plan” alongside Education Secretary Miguel Cardona on Tuesday. This comes despite the Supreme Court ruling in June that his massive forgiveness of student loans last August to buy the Gen Z-Millennial vote was unconstitutional as Cristina Laila reported.
Laila also revealed in August that a federal appeals court dealt a serious blow to student relief rule by the Biden regime which allows borrowers to obtain “relief” from their loan obligations if they were “victims” of misleading information by colleges and universities.

None of this is stopping the Regime, however. The Supreme Court is illegitimate in their eyes and the Constitution is just a piece of paper to them.
Under Biden’s “Save Plan,” borrowers making roughly $15 an hour will supposedly not have to make a single payment, while others earning above that amount will save at least $1,000 a year in comparison to other income-driven repayment plans.

Biden released comments by the White House via video, calling his latest scheme the “most affordable student loan plan ever.”
He continued:
As long as you pay what you owe under this plan, you’ll no longer see your loan balance grow because of unpaid interest. Under the SAVE Plan, monthly payments are based on your income, not your student loan balance.
VIDEO:

Cardona also crowed about the Biden regime’s latest assault on the rule of law.
The SAVE plan is another huge step forward in President Biden’s tireless efforts to fix the broken student loan system, reduce the burden of student debt on working families, and put borrowers first.
In addition to defying the Supreme Court, this new bailout scheme will cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars. The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates the total cost to taxpayers at $276 billion, though this is likely an underestimate considering the regular cost overruns with government policies and projects.
Let’s hope the courts hold firm and slap down Biden again. Unlike so many on the right, one consistent truism about leftists is they never quit until they accomplish their desired goals.
