How in the hell what that interpreted as a noose? Seems like some common sense from NASCAR was missed big time in this case!

Common sense? Common sense went out the window a long time ago with all of this. We now live in a country where you are guilty until proven innocent. Where facts and truth mean nothing if they don't fit a preconceived narrative.

I mean just look at what is going on. If it wasn't happening in front of my eyes I wouldn't believe it. You have a bunch of communist idiot thugs up in Seattle in open rebellion against the US, and the moron they have for a mayor is calling it a street festival. Meanwhile people are dying in the street in their little communist dystopia. You have people wanting to dismantle police departments in some misguided belief that they will be safer without law and order. I have yet to hear a rational thought on how that is going to work. And you have morons wanting to erase history and pretend like it all never happened. I have news for everyone, every single figure in history save one has skeletons in their closest. We are humans. Our history is sordid and full of hate. It is also great and full of hope. And most of the times historical figures fall into both categories. You can't erase it.

We have enough insanity going on right now. The last thing we needed was for some NASCAR driver to make up some story about garage door pull looking like a noose. If you can't tell the difference in those two things then you probably shouldn't be driving a car 200 mph.

Yes I do think he played it up. Yes, I do think the others played it up. I'm not sure how you would be mad at me, aside from me erring on the side of distasteful for the "loser" comment. He was blasting those who wanted more information, and it turns those questions were warranted. I don't have a problem with him being mislead and then feeling upset about the "noose" and I believe any one would be mad based on the lack of information he apparently had.

From the start the info was they found a noose. It's a fact that there was a noose. They didn't give the public any other info. They basically told us they were looking for who did it. With no one disputing that it was actually found why assume it was a hoax? Bubba is like why would you think that. There info was the info. The experts investigated and found out the truth. There was no evidence publicly to make me think there was a hoax. Many people saying it was a hoax are the same ones that don't believe that officers abuse their power. Unless they see the video. Turns out they were right this time but I question their motivations when there was really no reason to question this.

I pasted the above. I can't seem to type on it. The other garages HAVE NO LOOP. The pull rope was tied into a noose by somebody. And that is the problem. And it is a legitimate problem. Not made up.

Maybe the door was hard to pull down so someone tied a loop to make it easier to grab. But no now a loop is a noose.

The problem is this.

Up until the early 80s they were Stock Cars. They were Fords, Chevrolets and Hemis. They looked like Fords, Chevrolets and Hemis. You didnt see any Toyotas either.

My Dad raced with Bill France Sr ( founder of NASCAR) on the beach in the early 50s. I have 8mm home movies of it. Dad went ballistic when they put Toyotas out there.

Today, no matter the make they all look the same. That's the main thing that is killing the sport. Bill France would roll over in his grave if he saw how they have done the cars.

There is not one computer that controls all the cars. What I would say is the computer in every car is basically the same.

The heads on the car are where the high dollar teams distance themselves. The heads are where the Horse Power is made.

In drag racing, the Pro Stocks are the fastest doorslammers ie must have an operating door on each side of the car. The good ones are running 6.50s @ 210 mph in a 1/4 mile. The motors in these cars are over 225,000.00 a piece.

Say you have a car car running 6.68 @ 205. To get that car to @6.58 @ 212 mph may cost you 100 to 150 K to test and find out how much you can alter those heads and still stay legal.

I didn't think it was a hoax or misunderstanding until I saw those pictures on Twitter this morning and leaned on that side, but wanted to see it play out all the way. After that, I don't agree there wasn't reason to question it. I don't think there is anything wrong with the skepticism until it's played out. Is it "unbelievable" to think someone committed a racist act? Of course not and those happen all the time, unfortunately. What also unfortunately happens as well is "fake hoax's" and that happens frequent enough for a lot of people to cast skepticism (some cases yes unwarranted.) Apparently, that is wrong in the eyes of Wallace or they have malicious intent when doing so. That's how I took his interview comments and he was calling those people racist. I understand your point as well and agree to an extent. If there is no reason to look, I can see some "agendas" for people to push, but I disagree there wasn't any reason to not be skeptical in this specific instance.

I don't actually think he's a loser or a bad guy. It's clear he was mislead from my understanding I don't fault him for 98% of his comments. It's fun to pile on and he earned some criticism for that 2% in my book.

They can pay much more than corporate sponsors because they can control all of the betting. The fan favorites never win because that goes against the interest of Vegas. Most people don’t want to bet on drivers they don’t like.

Yeah I agree. I think he was speaking directly to those who the shoe fits. Strangely we're all victims here. I do like what come from it especially since no was falsely accused and the truth was found out quickly. It showed some serious love.
