Klubnik is a huge problem. Nothing will change until somebody, anybody else takes over at QB. The reason why he has nowhere to grow and improve is his limitations in terms of ability to process plays and recognize coverages. It’s a mental thing. He was a great high school QB because he had all the time in the world to skip around behind LOS and make a play. I imagine if he took a driver’s ed course in HS and they had simulators, he would be the slowest in his class to recognize things like pedestrians, dogs, children, distracted drivers coming perpendicular into an intersection, etc. He just lacks that mental ability to process things quick enough to keep up with the speed of the game at this level. He just does not have what it takes to play QB at D1 college level, period. He’s a real good HS level backyard football QB, and that’s his ceiling. The more we waste time with him, the more the team will suffer.
