Right. The who. How’d they do during Covid with all that money. They came up with masks and quarantine. You’re a buffoon. Hopeless. You are a literal liberal talking point. I’ve never seen anything like that.

Cite the debunk. In this one thread I’ve asked you to cite 5 things and you can’t cite one. What a dipshit.
Dude you could just google condoms for Gaza to find out for yourself but the short version is they misunderstood or misrepresented a larger effort over a period of years where they sent contraceptives, condoms and other items used to control the spread of disease to multiple countries, including a region in Mozambique called Gaza, lol.

I addressed many others in this post below. You have got to learn that you can't trust right-wing social media, Trump or his spokesperson.

Here, straight from the horses mouth. https://internationalmedicalcorps.org/press-release/international-medical-corps-operations-in-gaza/

Also, yes, funding WHO is very important. They recommend masks (which worked) but they didn’t make us do anything. That was our own state, local, and federal governments
This is directly from that link:

An April 2024 report, opens new tab shows that the U.S. delivered a value of $60.8 million in contraceptives and condoms to four regions, including the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

For you as well:

I'm not an expert in these things with answers on what to do, I was giving my perspective as someone who had these moments in my life that obviously stuck with me.

I'll also answer your question of "what type of work are we talking about?" but may I also ask why that's relevant?
The first part of my previous post regarding resumes was for a Process Engineering role in a manufacturing facility.
The seond part of my previous post was regarding my new (at the time) role as a Sales/Market Manager for a raw material company.
(My background is in engineering, but transitioned to commercial activities after 5 years of being a plant engineer since the commercial world can often use someone who has a strong technical background)
@MTTiger19 You seem to have commented to others but jumped past mine. Can you please let me know the relevancy for asking what the jobs were?

I think you are misunderstanding that American taxpayers have no obligation to provide condoms to anyone anywhere. That’s not a government problem. That’s a social issue.

Yes my apologies. I have heard this similar argument recently about Indian names within some professions. I am not saying that is happening. I have no idea. I just think it’s something that as long as humans are reading resumes there’s going to be inherent bias regardless.

Yes, while the link isn’t working, I don’t doubt we’ve done that. It’s PEPFAR. It’s prevented probably millions of deaths from HIV/AIDS. It’s one of the best things we’ve ever done as a nation and one of the best things (only good things rather) that Bush ever did as president. It is very different than “sending $59m for condoms to Gaza”

Link won't open for me. But does it say $50mm going to the Gaza Strip?
No, it doesn’t, he just doesn’t know what he’s talking about or why the US, across multiple administrations, spends money on this stuff. These idiots are just ripping out wires, hoping to turn the clock back to the 50s, not realizing the damage they’re doing to world safety or America’s place in the world

No sir. It says that was inaccurate, I think the larger point I’m trying to make is 50 million to Gaza or 68 million to Africa is irrelevant. It’s taxpayer money. I think that’s inappropriate.

Essentially what it was saying is that the money claimed to be spent in Gaza was not spent on contraception but on medical assistance. It goes on to say that the 68 million was sent to Africa and other parts of the world for condoms and contraception.

How much do you pay in taxes? Do you work?

What always gets me is instead of saying they misunderstood but that they still think we are spending frivolous money and congress needs to do something, people will still try to twist some way that Trump was right.

Bush is a war criminal and traitor.

I stand by saying 68 million dollars for condoms in the third world is frivolous when they’re are Americans dying on our streets.

This was all public in the budget that was signed off by Congress.

We can spend money on both things. And I’ve always found that conservatives only care about the homeless as a rhetorical device and when it’s time to pass funding for them they love to slash funding

International Medical Corps has received $68,078,508 from USAID to support our operations in Gaza since October 7, 2023. With the generous support of USAID and the American people, we’ve used these resources to operate two large field hospitals currently located in central Gaza—one in Deir Al Balah and one in Al Zawaida—offering a combined total capacity of more than 250 beds, including 20 in the emergency room and 170 in the surgical department. These facilities provide 24/7 lifesaving medical care to roughly 33,000 civilians per month, in a highly dangerous and insecure environment where healthcare infrastructure has been decimated.

So you mistyped the amount previously? You said 68mm for condoms at the link provided. I open the link provided that has the exact amount you provided, but not for the reason you provided.

Dude, we have a very vested interest in making sure that we reduce the spread of disease because anything that causes disease there will soon spread here unless we can stop it in it's tracks and it's always preferable to stop it there. We slowed the spread of Ebola by doing the same.

You need to quit automatically believing that anything Trump says it's right because you have to remember he has an ulterior motive to carve out space for the windfall tax break he wants to give to himself, the broligarchy and corporate America. That's why he's pounding you with so much propaganda about fraud so you will feel righteous about his cruelty. Always keep that in mind!

It was 60.8. I got confused. I understand how I confused you. That was my mistake.
