So, if it is a win for a party to put up a bill that they know will not pass, why dont the Dems put forth a bill and vote on it? Or have they and I just dont know anything? I also did not mean that it has never been bad before....I just meant I have never seen it this bad in my lifetime. To a certain extent there has always been political divisiveness, but it seems now everyone is out for blood and revenge and not doing the best for the American public. I guess that is the way the media and the political parties want it. It helps sell ads, and a divided people are easy to govern until something breaks.
Democrats dont run on immigration. Republicans do.
That said, there is a bipartisan immigration reform bill currently congress called the Dignity Act. Several senators have said they will champion it as well if it passes the house.
It is very unlikely that McCarthy will vote on it. it does not include funding for a border wall. Republicans cannot do anything to upset their maga king.
