GQ Magazine

Obviously the libtards are to stupid and/or ignorant to see what Hollywood is going through right now. How many Obama supporters are accused of rape and being pedophiles in the last week alone. Charlie Sheen, Kevin’s Spacey. Oh the list goes on and on. Let’s not forget about Anthony Weiner either. My how stupid some of y’all are. I truly feel sorry for you. Lmao.

Did it to sell magazines.
i would agree except the pig socks and castro shirt in miami of all places...not to mention his comparing the police force to slave owners...he lost me on all that...i didnt care about his kneeling and would have been impressed had he just gotten fired over that and kept going in a dignified, mature manner, but he didnt imo

I think that did more than the kneeling. Honestly when he was kneeling I don't think many people noticed until it hit the press. The insults at police were bad, and I wonder if he realized how offensive a Castro shirt would be to Miami Cubans. Anyone who did research would.

Except the Nazis WEREN'T conservative, they were SOCIALISTS: FREE healthcare, FREE education, HATE the rich, trust big government, take guns from free people, you know the whole deal. And NO ONE conservative stands up for them, because conservatives are on the complete OPPOSITE end of the spectrum.

Those damn facts. Nazis have much more in common with Bernie Sanders and the Dems than any Republican.

It's one of four covers. I'm partial to this one.

gq-moty-cover-gal-gadot.jpg

Didn't get a lot of press coverage, but Gadot is also reportedly refusing to sign on for the Wonder Woman sequel unless Brett Ratner is removed from the project. She was also scheduled to present him with an award at a dinner last month and backed out after allegations of sexual harassment and abuse from six different women came to light.

Me likey that cover.

I saw that about her. I don't know the details behind the Ratner issue but I don't blame her. It looks like it would be easier to list the Hollywood people who AREN'T some sort of freaks.

And I don't equate that to what Kaepernick is doing - though in truth the kneeling doesn't really bother me all that much. There is much worse he could be doing.

because you say so? i choose to not give meaning to symbols that blowhards choose to wear...offensive yes, but wake me up when they start killing jews and dying for their beliefs..the problem is people give them too much attention relative to the amount of people they have

If you want to associate yourself with one of the worst groups of people in the history of mankind then I’ll oblige in treating you like the POS you are. IDC what you’ve done or how many there are.

Just out of curiousty. How is Collin Kaepernick a jerk? He didn't beat his wife, rape or murder someone. He didn't abuse a child. Is he advocating drug use?

He calmly took a knee during his job to raise awareness on an issue and quite frankly, it worked. The issue was brought to the forefront. What the media turned the message into is another story. At some point, the media decided to ditch the original issue and make it about the flag.

Now he doesn't have a job and is still calmly working towards the original issue. I don't really see how that makes him a jerk.

The media didn’t twist anything. The reason anybody talked about the flag is because that was the form his protest took, and it pissed people off.

If anything, I’d say the media has made Kap’s politics seem more mainstream than they are. As others have mentioned, Kap is more radical when it comes to the police than most people would be comfortable with. Some of Kap’s original supporters even pointed out that his anti-police message was being co-opted when the other NFL players got involved.

Him donating 100K a month, feeding the homeless, etc for the last couple years at least, I’m sure had nothing to do with it. He’s actually doing what he said he was going to do and he’s being acknowledged for it. Has nothing to do with the silly ass protest that no one can comprehend the actual reason he’s protesting. Oh and by the way, it was a group of vets who encouraged him to protest in the beginning, he consulted with vets before taking the knee but don’t let me get in the way of accuracy.

He also has a pretty warped view on how black men have been oppressed. Check out his website. Guys doing a lot of good but the kids he’s helping don’t need to think it’s someone else fault they’re disadvantaged. Not sure how that’s gonna help them.

You truly want to stand behind that the sexual misconduct stuff is a Democrat only problem? You are good at lists, evidently. How about this list of conservatives with sexual misconduct issues: Don Trump, Roy Moore, Mark Foley, Dennis Hastert ( little boys for this loser), Bob Livingston....and that is just off the tip of my thoughts. Really???? I must be reading this wrong bc you can’t believe this is a Democrat problem. It is a human race problem!

GQ has gone hardcore left wing, for some reason. Not sure who they think their readers are.

If they have gone left wing, then it is probably bc most of their readers are of that Tribe, if you will. These magazines know their readers and don’t typically go against what their readers will support. My guess is that their readers are upper income, College graduates, live in more urban areas, are younger than 50....so it is not a mystery why they would choose to honor him. I still don’t associate GQ as the voice of any party or group though. They are not big enough to have that power.

Oh I agree it is a human race problem. That was my entire point of my post.

Bill O'Reilly? Mark Souder? Chris Lee? Scott DesJarlis (woop woop Dr patient relationship!!). Dennis Hastert, US Speaker of the House (gonna love on those little boys).

Lmao, moron. It goes both ways

Apparently it’s over 900,000, yes. I think they have different versions of it in different countries. Anyway, lots of people read magazines.
There are more people in Charleston County than 900k. If that's their worldwide subscriptions, they are dying.

I think it was quite a bit more 20 or 30 years ago, like millions & millions more. How many people have a subscription to any magazine these days?

The point is, their politics are very liberal and they’re the leading men’s magazine. I’m not so sure that a magazine that calls itself “Gentleman’s Quarterly” is aimed at liberals, though.

I am glad we can agree it is a human race problem. Still, I am curious why you would put it on the "libtards" and only list democrat leaning individuals? Why not include some GOP ones and call out the alt right too if you truly believe it is broader than a libtard problem?

I would think wearing socks depicting cops as pigs and wearing a Castro t-shirt to Miami would classify him as a jerk.

I have a good many liberal friends (conservative friends too I might add) and I don't recall any of them quoting GQ magazine for their political content. IF you said Huff Post or WAPOst or NY TImes, then, yeah, I suppose that would be more significant. But to assume that tiny magazine speaks for anyone other than their narrow band of subscribers (most of whom are probably liberal, sure) is a stretch IMO. I am no Kaepernick fan btw.

his starting point makes it to where he finds anything left of the wsj or the national review to be "radical"

Because he was replying to a libtard that said conservatives protected pedos.

You make it sound like some sort of self-published newsletter for the Omaha Bird-Watchers Association. It’s the leading men’s magazine, and it’s had quite a bit of liberal political content since they hired a gay, progressive editor. They obviously don’t speak for all liberals, but it’s a liberal cultural institution.

Because it is a constant narrative that those that identify as liberals that try to stereotype conservatives. The exact same individuals.

I don’t think they do in general but I truly believe the GOP elected leadership in Alabama does....I mean to make a statement that it is ok to be with a 14 year old bc there are examples in the Bible where this is ok is just.....crazy! But they said it. Likewise , I think Sean Hannity excusing Moore’s behavior reveals he values partisanship over character. In this case character means not accepting a pedophile.

It is actually not the leading men’s magazine as you claim. That would be Men’s Health. This rag Only has 900k subscribers. That is virtually nothing in today’s online world where The Huffington Post ( a real leading liberal site), gets 20 million hits a day. Now I have conceded that their readership is most likely liberal. Ergo, that is why they are choosing this action. You would choose the same if that is where “Your bread is Buttered”.

I think many people, including "liberals" are universally condemning the Kevin Spacey's and Harvey Weinstein's for the atrocious behavior. Its just that every time some republican (see Donald Trump, Bill O'Reilly, and Mr. Moore) is accused, too many conservatives resort to the "these women are lying and this is just politically motivated attacks" defense. Listening to Sean Hannity defend this behavior is beyond offensive.

The problem is not a Democratic or Republican, conservative or liberal problem. It is a power problem, and it should be condemned by everyone on both sides no matter who is the accuser and who is the accused.

Just so I follow you - I really am trying - are you saying liberals always or generally refer to conservatives as sexual misfits? Or that liberals stereotype conservatives as being pedohiles or whatever deviant group you want to chose?
