Haven't seen this mentioned...Dabo travels to FL

Please tell me how the guy, or girl, fueling the plane is at risk? The biggest risk they all took was having a car accident on the way to work. I am sure the people cleaning he plane were wearing PPE, both for their safety and the passengers.

If medical professionals can't get PPEs, I doubt the people at the airport had them, or anyone involved in the operation of the aircraft. And if they did, that's sad.

Fueling the plane so someone can fly to their vacation home hardly meets the standard of "essential employees" or "essential travel", does it? Or does it just because he's Dabo?

If he wants to do it, great, but people shouldn't be surprised there's some backlash is all I'm saying. It's tone deaf.

There are other materials that could be used as PPE other than the N95 masks. Quilting material, for example has shown to be as effective as surgical masks in particle reduction.

If the airport was shut down and they brought everyone in whether they wanted to be there or not just to fly Dabo and his family out, then you may have a point about essential employees. The more likely scenario is that the airport was already open and his was just an additional flight, in which case you have no point.

Finally, I am sure the "tone" doesn't sit well with some. Frankly, I am glad he is in a position to make make choices based on whether they are actually right or wrong, rather than what other people think about it. We spend way too much time worrying about tone rather than worrying about whether something is actually right or wrong.

Please respond with a non political football related post concerning Dabo vacationing during the coronavirus outbreak.

You should move to another country. One that has no government and will allow you to do anything.

Our real concern should be ....who is doing their grocery shopping once they arrived in FL? We dont need Dabo infected by the masses at Winn Dixie.

I’m fine with how America has always been. Seems like all the new crisis socialist should go out looking for a new home.

When the US tax system starts to match that of European countries I’d be open to leaving the US btw.

The irony is you disagree with my views that America should be free.

Dude. Does everything in your world need to be distilled down to politics or gotchas?

Try focusing on things that unite us. Things like hoping everyone is well, Clemson football, etc. Just a thought.
He’s been like that forever. It’s typical liberal mindset - has to be depressing life.

I’m arguing for free markets and less government regulations. You seem to have trouble understanding what a liberal is, not unless you’re referring to 1920s standards.

Those of you saying he didn't put anybody else at risk, did he fly the plane himself? Did he fuel it himself? Clean the plane himself?

I know he says he took "all the precautions" but it's just not a good look. It feels entitled.

How did he get from the airport to his house? I would hope they had a vehicle ready with keys in the ignition and that the vehicle had been fully sanitized. Certainly they didn't take an Uber.

They say don't take unnecessary travel and with Dabo having the position of leadership he has, I believe he should stay in SC and set an example for others to follow. Dabo is all about team and rules so he should follow the current guidelines set forth by the POTUS and his administration (did I just write that lol?) as well as that of the state and local government.

While i agree with the fact that due to the way he traveled he had no or minimal effect on corona spread, the optics are not the greatest especially when you casually mention it during a press conference. Especially after you made the already controversial statement of thinking everything will be fine come the fall. He may be right or wrong on that second take, but with the amount of sports content we currently have to consume anything put out there will be highly scrutinized.
Only in this day & age would one think that optimism is controversial...smh

I only came to this post looking for big government republicans excusing their views to forgive Dabo. You haven’t disappointed.

I don’t agree with the government preventing people from doing what they want to do. Republicans have shown they agree with massive government overreach and increased laws to keep people safe when it comes to a viral crisis. What reasoning do you not hold Dabo to the same laws normal people have to follow?
This is as false as false can get. Republicans did not wanna shut this country down if they could help it. But the liberal media played up the hysteria so much to where the citizens were literally asking to be shutdown. Remember when Trump said he’d like to pen things back up around Easter? It was met with overwhelming negativity from liberals particularly. As I’ve said before, when this thing begins to die down & Trump says it is time to open things back up, watch which side of the aisle pushes back for as long as they possibly can. Hint: it won’t be on the right side.

Dude, that is NOT what a liberal is in this day & age...not even close. I don’t even really know why you would think it is unless you’ve really just buried your head in the sand forever. Times have changed my friend.

Maybe it’s time to re-examine your position, allegiance...it’s ok. Believe it or not, I used to vote democrat several years ago until I took a step back & realized their ideals & policies didn’t represent what I believed anymore. The parties continue to change...& sometimes that means we have to change.

This doesn’t explain why there was unanimous support by republicans for the massively socialist stimulus bill.

Deficit spending during an economic downturn is a Keynesian view. Democrats have traditionally been Keynesians. This is why they love the New Deal, GM Bailouts, and now the corona bailouts. Republicans have traditionally leaned on neoclassical economics with Larry Kudlow being a prime example.

It took serving under Trump one term to reject all his previous views and align with democrats when it comes to economic policy. Do you now agree that Obama did a wonderful job with the economy?

I rather vote for a liberal than a liberal pretending to be a conservative. I will never vote for a current republican in the senate, house of rep, or White House. They are all liberals second rate liberal in my book. Biden is more conservative than Trump at this point.

So when did republicans adopt deficit spending Keynesian economics and Modern Monetary Theory. Obama was a major Keynesian and AOC and Bernie are huge supporters of MMT.

Btw, the answer to how we will pay for this crisis stimulus is the same economics progressives will now use to explain how we pay for Medicare 4 All, student loan forgiveness, rent controls, 15 dollar an hour minimum wage, and numerous other progressive policies.

I will 100% admit a shutdown was needed if the data shows this. After it’s all done we should have a few different examples to measure the results of and see what the best approach would have been.

So far it seems the biggest preventative measure would have been the CDC telling everyone to wear any and all types of mask. They decided that wasn’t important until most areas had tons of cases. The Asians countries seem to support mask being very beneficial in reducing the spread.

btw I haven’t been going around trying spread anything. I hate touching people and hate them touching me. I live social distancing 24/7 lol.

good post. That is all you can ask of anyone is that they own up when the data comes out.

I don't know anything about the poster that was being referred to but your comment is hilarious. As if conservatives/Trumpers don't make everything about politics or are leading the charge to unite us.
