I watched the video and didn’t hear Kirk say anything about being “persecuted” for being a Christian, @firegiver and @Silverstreak02.
What I heard him say is that a double standard exists at ESPN whereby an employee like him that holds traditional or Christian values is not allowed to share his views on matters deemed to be political. Meanwhile, employees get away with making political statements that match those of their more liberal bosses. There is plenty of evidence this double standard exists.
Anyone that likens this to true persecution is exaggerating and ought to be called out for that, but that doesn’t mean the double standard doesn’t exist. It’s a form of discrimination that doesn’t rise to the level of persecution that nonetheless has no place in our society, in my opinion, and therefore deserves to be called out.
