please let me explain. The United States is the greatest country in the world--not even close!!
I love the United States!
however, when I hear people say 'I love America', my first thought is do they mean North America or South America.
I assume they mean the United States of America. am I just being too literal??
has this always been the saying (a hundred years ago?) or is this a newer version?
