I voted for Obama in 2008.

I voted for Bush in the prior election, but I thought he really screwed the pooch with Iraq. So, disheartened by the GOP and with Palin as VP to an ailing McCain, Obama was the best choice.

She should never have even been a governor.

You were smart and did what's best for your country.

Scary to think that millions of Americans actually supported a very unqualified candidate like Palin.

I'm glad that our nation didn't fall for supporting another very unqualified candidate this time around.

Oh wait...nevermind.

She is quite possibly the dumbest person to ever walk on the face of the earth. Literally. The dumbest.

I literally sat here for 5 minutes trying to think of someone dumber just to rib you a bit...and I couldn't. And I'm a conservative.

Surely there is someone dumber. Surely.

For those wishing to name someone, let's confine it to someone who was almost in a position of real power. Surely there is someone.

Well fvck...they did the last 2 elections. WTH have you been?

It has come to pass that those with their hands out now are in power. IMO, those that work everyday should prepare to be able to exist for 2 months...and stop working. No check...no taxes.

GOT ONE!

Maxine Waters.

Put them in the same room for a day and you won't be able to record a single intelligent thought. Sort of like if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, did it really make a sound.

Very very debatable

20 Trillion in Debt. Regardless of your party, we have a problem that no politician will talk about. Heck reporters won't even ask the question anymore, to either potential nominee.

Did anyone else notice this sneaky Chris Ard like? Hmmmm
What a stupid ass comment. Where did you graduate college from? I bet it wasn't Harvard. You may not like his politics, but at least he's an intelligent person. Sarah Palin has the intelligence level of a chimpanzee with downs syndrome.
Yea, an intelligent person who thought there are 57 states. But I forget , all dems are brilliant and all repub are Dumb. Just remember, total democrat control Equals Detroit, Mich. That is what his policies do!!!
More people are on the Govt Teat than ever!

You really didn't need 5 minutes

Since all you in this thread are such fans of great intellects, I trust you will all be voting for Ted Cruz, whom Alan Dershowitz has said was the smartest student he's ever taught at Harvard Law School.

I would want Obama to make a complicated decision over Palin. I would want you, who I do not know, to make a complicated decision over Palin. Clear enough?

President Obama is clearly an intelligent man in a lot of ways. It's not that he's dumb or anything like that. It's just that all the stuff he knows about has nothing whatsoever to do with being President of the United States. And even more, it's not just what he doesn't know but it is the prism through which he sees what he does know.

Palin is a disaster to be sure. But the fact that Palin is a complete nut bar has nothing at all to do with the magnitude of the disaster that Obama has been. Not sure why we always try to create equivalencies in an attempt to justify how terrible the person we supported may be. It's not like Obama has a VP that things FDR got on TV to talk about the Great Depression or that to go in 7-11 you must have an Indian accent or that Republicans want to put black people in chains or anything stupid like that... oh wait... I forgot! And that's who Dems were pining for this time. Ha! (See, I can do equivalencies too!)

There's an over abundance of idiots on all sides of the isle. We should stop acting like the side we support is the only sane group. There are a great many embarrassments no matter where you look!

Yep, it's true...Obama is absolutely the 43rd greatest president of all time!

I do not think it is necessarily a great intellect that is key. I mean, if you like Cruz, then you probably liked Reagan. I liked Regan a lot. But, this is likely a fairly accurate quote about his intellect:

The battle for the mind of Ronald Reagan was like the trench warfare of World War I: never have so many fought so hard for such barren terrain. Peggy Noonan

I'm sure you quoted it accurately, but Peggy Noonan was wrong. Reagan was very smart. Just because he could be self-effacing and gracious doesn't mean he was dumb. I am old enough to have voted for Reagan and remember the narrative about how he didn't have any ideas and just leaned on his advisors. Then, after he was out of office, books were published like "Reagan in His Own Hand" that shows how he had been writing and speaking for years on all manner of important topics and governing philosophies. It was just like when Reagan didn't want to embarrass Gorbachev when he put on a cowboy hat backwards - he was too decent of an individual to thoroughly embarrass all the hacks who had no idea how prolific in thought and letter he was.

So going to a certain college makes you intelligent? As intelligent as someone who can't make their point without making degrading comparisons to people with special needs? Sounds like you're pretty upset right now.

I don't think Reagan was unintelligent. I will always think of Reagan fondly. But he would not have won in an IQ test against likely even Carter. Still, he was a far, far better President. Those notes he wrote to Nancy are heartwarming.

Proof, all Dems are brilliant and Repubs are Dumb. That is the Democrat narrative.

I hope you do not vote. I bet you vote GOP every time. Not because you understand the things at stake, just cuz it's what daddy did
I dont vote GOP , but I will never vote Democratic. Everything they touchis bad for this country. They want to be Santa Claus and give my hard-earned money to people that don't work. It's called paying taxes at the highest rate and getting nothing for it.
By the way, I am over 60 and this has been going on my entire life. When i got my 1st check at 14 years old, I didn't like taxes then. The Dems do not believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILTY and I do. They think they know how to spend MY MONEY better than I do.

You mean like the complicated decision to call a muslim, who kills multiple people in the name of his god, a radical, islamic terrorist? Oh wait! That's right. That concept is too complicated for Obama.
