Liberal white woman. This board is apparently full of them.
White men and women who didn't make it to college adore Trump. Who'd have thought?
There are maybe 4 posters on here that aren't MAGA, so you're kind of telling on yourself.
You did see the increase in white males with a degree. I’m sorry this is confusing you. The point was the knee jerk reaction typically comes from females or whatever yall call the people that have vaginas now. So smart birthing people don’t like trump should’ve been your statement.Exactly. Smart, educated people don't like Trump? That's not exactly surprising, have you read his tweets? He's functionally illiterate.
And like 85 million people. Many of whom have degrees and melanin.White men and women who didn't make it to college adore Trump. Who'd have thought?

And btw are you saying there’s something wrong with people that didn’t have an opportunity to go to college? That seems elitist of you.
That’s nonsense and you know it. Believe it or not I went to college, graduated and played a D1 sport. Something probably not one of you have done. My experience was that the professors pushing that garbage were basically people that had been picked on. They were mean, hateful, spiteful, they had no empathy for anyone. They were blind in their views and wouldn’t even tolerate an opposing viewpoint. They were typically in arts and some in computer sciences. Any economic classes or even law classes I took were all taught by conservative professors. Every single one of them. They were outnumber 20:1 on campus and would offer to have debates with the liberal professors at our Main and the liberal professors never accepted. Not once. They are bullies and impressionable young people don’t know better. Especially those that aren’t strong minded. I knew what I was capable of and I knew what I wanted in life. I didnt need some pretentious, bully to explain how I’m always wrong and bad because of my skin or my orientation. It’s been like that as long as I can remember. You’re all the same. Not at all, but it isn't shocking that college educated people, who have been exposed to more diversity of thought and experiences wouldn't like the man who hates diversity of thought and experiences.
I have 3 degrees and I never saw any of this shit in my 10 years of schooling. None of my professors ever made their politics be known, never did I see conservative and liberal professors try and debate politics, or have professors bully students who didn't have their same political leanings. I don't want to belittle your experience, because maybe you did experience that, but I've never met anyone who experienced anything that you posted about. That’s nonsense and you know it. Maybe we just attended different universities (Clemson and UT-A) or attended at different times (mid 2000s for me), but it blows my mind when I hear about these stories because it flies in the face of everything I, and everyone from my personal and professional lives, experienced.
Wofford College. I can give you a real life example. After 9/11 and all of that a history professor distributed a paper to everyone in the class outlining how stupid George Bush was. I had another math professor tell the entire class that if our parents voted for Bush that they’d think he was a pinko commie fag. I had never even heard that term before. What do you think an impressionable young person thinks when the authorities that are in control of them are acting that way. Does that create a safe environment for any opposing view? I can give you their names if you like and you can research them. I’m sorry you don’t believe but I don’t care. I know what my experience is. Professor Frank Machovec was the head of the economics department, spent years at the pentagon, he would ask to debate them all the time.
I have no reason to lie.
See. I’m not the only one that can’t read. He didn’t call me that. He said that’s how our parents would identify him.If your professor called you that he should have been fired. Did nobody complain?
That's not what anyone I've ever met has experienced, and seems hard to believe.
Unless you’re criticizing Biden or at that time Gore or any other liberal. Cmon man.To be fair, GWB is a ****ing moron, so the history professor isn't entirely wrong. And yeah, post 9/11 when nationalistic fervor was at an all time high, being called a commie if you didn't support Bush was pretty common.
I think that's the whole point of College - to go out and experience things that you likely didn't in your home. It's an area where you want to foster debate, critical thinking, and challenge your ideas. I used to love having debates in my religious studies and philosophy courses in undergrad. You grow as a person when you challenge the beliefs you've been fed all your life and learn new things.
? Who's not allowed to criticize Biden?Unless you’re criticizing Biden

Looks like we are trying to play nice and I’m good with that. Machovec was a rock star. You are trying way too hard to be offended.
Ok so now that you see I’m not lying about my experience that should at least tell you I’m honest. I told you about machovec. Guy was a beast. To be fair, GWB is a ****ing moron, so the history professor isn't entirely wrong. Edit: i did love this feedback on ratemyprofessor for Machovec: A true gem of Wofford and one of the last defenses against the oppression-studies perspective of economics/history among many other post-modernist faculty simply trying to indoctrinate the next generation of woke students.
A Pew Research poll in 2020 (as reported in Evie Magazine) found that 56% of white leftist woman 18-29, self reported they had been told by a doctor they had a mental health issue.Liberal white woman. This board is apparently full of them.
Are you saying you don’t believe me? That would be a very odd thing to lie about. I am not claiming to be a victim. I just experienced this.I’ve attended three universities worked in education and I’ve had very few experiences comparable to @MTTiger19 however those few times that professors or student students did something outside the norm the bigger community usually quickly put them back into place.
Been my biggest complain I've made repeatedly to @fatpiggy . When you lie and make things up or twist things to make your argument, you lose me. Covers a lot of how I feel about both DOGE and HHS right now.If the current administration would justify their actions and policy with facts instead of propaganda I would be more tolerant of the decisions. Doesn’t mean I’d like it, but at least I can understand it.
It used to be once politicians were elected they moved more to the center now it seems as though both sides are speaking to their base instincts. Not much to be proud of on the far left or the far right.

Well the biggest lies told were Russian Collusion and 51 intelligence agents.Been my biggest complain I've made repeatedly to @fatpiggy . When you lie and make things up or twist things to make your argument, you lose me. Covers a lot of how I feel about both DOGE and HHS right now.
Not what I typed. I said, "I had very few experiences comparable." When people(students/professors) did espouse something from the far ends of the spectrum, it typically generated one of two responses. 1) People either challenged them in class or 2) just ignored them. Anyway, is not the whole point of college to learn how to challenge conventional and unconventional thinking. Plus, one would learn to discern facts from BS. I attended a military college, a liberal arts school and law school. I like to think I had variety of experiences. Are you saying you don’t believe me? That would be a very odd thing to lie about. K, guess you don't need to be any better.Well the biggest lies told were Russian Collusion and 51 intelligence agents.
It's so hard to take you guys seriously when you complain about the truth.
Yup, I should have credited you @UrHuckleberry . More than anything, it just insults my intelligence and normally, I give a lot of grace, a lot.Been my biggest complain I've made repeatedly to @fatpiggy . My experience was largely the same. I didn't think about politics. If it came up, I never got the feeling anybody had actual contempt for the other side. Nowadays the country is a lot more polarized, and everything feels higher stakes. I imagine that attitude has found it's way onto campuses if we're seeing it on a football message board of middle aged white guys. Not what I typed. I said, "I had very few experiences comparable." A few examples...
Witnessed a PETA protest on campus, when a group of people showed up in a Chick fil La cow suit handing out sandwiches.
Had some classmates show up to counter protest a group trying to shut down an adult bookstore.
A law professor of mine represented Jim Baker (in his appeal/ I think). He thought Jim got railroaded. I'm sure the publicity didn't hurt either.
Also, saw the student body about riot after the rankings dropped the law school down a tier. Almost resulted in a vote of no-confidence for the president till cooler heads prevailed.
Witnessed a few school papers almost get shut down because they thought they wrote for the National Lampoon but had neither the talent or editorial insight to differentiate between satire and stupid. Granted that is a very very fine line.
Almost certain that the Culture at Columbia and Berkeley are radically different than Wofford or even Harvard. I would not base my opinions of college education on a few institutions no more than I would judge either party based on Marjorie Taylor Green or Bernie Sanders. The problem is the press gives (or did) them megaphones than their respective influence warrants.
