This guy gives some interesting facts and while most of it relates to realignment, I thought this was interesting on recruiting.
In the 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes SEC schools signed 122 recruits in the Top 100. 61 of those, 50%, have now left the school they originally signed with.
It makes me wonder how we will recruit or even if we will be able to recruit Top 100 players in the future. Is it worthwhile to recruit those guys given the high rate at which they transfer? They don’t come cheap either.
I have noticed SEC schools trying to skim the better proven players from the SEC, like the GT DE to the Chickens.
Recruiting going to continue to be crazy as more data on NIL and recruiting are compiled through the years.
