I'm seeing that they are suggesting limiting carbs by eating more non starchy veggies, but recommend a balanced diet that focuses on keeping your blood sugar in check rather than what you are eating:

That’s funny as my doctor had me meet with a specialist regarding foods to eat to help or avoid diabetes .

It was all about high good fats consumption with proteins and high fiber all the while reducing highly processed carbohydrates

Carbohydrates were not totally bad Just the ones like processed wheats, sugars in any form added to foods, high glycemic index , saturated fats, fried foods and especially any wheat based product
