Trump supporters were framed by FBI and government operatives and BLM and Antifa terrorists.
A leaked internal memo revealed that the US Capitol Police intel unit warned that BLM from Baltimore was bussing in rioters for January 6th protests.
According to the memo the rioters were going to blend in.

Antifa was actively involved in the January 6th protests and riots.

Cristina Laila wrote this back in February 2021 — Ex-Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund dropped a bombshell in February 2021 during a hearing before the Senate Rules and Homeland Security committees.

Michael Waller, a senior analyst for strategy at the Center for Security Policy specializing in propaganda, political warfare, psychological warfare, and subversion, said he was at the Capitol on January 6 and witnessed:

Not covering for Trump in the slightest but am suggesting this public hearing is nothing more than political theater. That said, best of luck in the outcome you're hoping for. Just hope the letdown isn't too great for you as I can't see how this results in any form of a conviction.

I'm not holding my breath for a conviction because we've never tried an ex-President, but I do think they will have enough evidence to support one. I would be satisfied if the hearings convinced enough of his supporters to abandon the MAGA train so he wouldn't run again and could no longer have the influence to control his party.

I believe those of you that think this is all for nothing are wrong. The last hearing had 13 million viewers and there is a lot of evidence out there that they are having an impact. Will it be enough? We'll see.

13 million is a pathetic number, it screams no one cares. Assuming 3.5 ppl per household youre talking 45mm people in a 350mm+ population tuning in. Thats about 13%. At 45mm approx youre looking at slightly over half the number that voted for biden, and a chunk of that is minors. Thats not good, in fact its bad. And 3.5 is generous and assumes all are tuning in. This is aired on almost every cable news channel. anyone is celebrating this number is either willfully ignorant or mind numbingly stupid. Its an echo chamber for a fringe of loons, the rest of the population is tuned out aside from laughing at any headlines they come across from this circus
