Just spotted Roy Williams

FWIW, you come off as a Trump fan boy often within these threads. So many of y'all do.

Just answer this hypothetical: It's 10 years or so in the future. For our purposes, let's imagine that the U.S. has fully returned to "normal" life as we knew it. But not totally as we once knew it, because the far-left movement has really picked-up steam and left us with President AOC.

She decides that it's finally time for America to be even more socialist. It's time for full government-run healthcare. You'd think she'd be able to get it passed fairly easily with both houses of Congress being Democrat, but it's a controversial issue, and she can't get what she wants. But no problem...there's a precedent that says she can declare a national emergency and redistribute funds that were already appropriated by Congress for other purposes.

She's also been investigated for some shady dealings. They may or may not be unlawful actions, but it doesn't matter. Her bodyguards in the Senate will protect her, even going so far as to brazenly and publicly flaunt that they have zero intention of acting as impartial jurors, which they will swear an oath to be.

She'll withdraw from any deal, pact, or treaty that doesn't align with her "progressive" vision for America. She'll champion the repeal of so many of these tax reforms that you value today. She'll work hard to remake America for the far-left and demand unquestioned loyalty in that pursuit.

She will publicly praise the world's socialist dictators. She will stand in front of the American people and tell lie after lie after lie after lie. She will use the popular social media platform of the day to engage in childish name-calling with those she doesn't like.

I think you see what I'm saying. If you are cool with your President doing all of this, that's fine. It's your right as an American.

But if you value the role of the POTUS...if you value our system of checks and balances as they were designed...if you expect more from a leader...then reevaluate your support for Trump. Because if anyone is cool with one party doing that, but will not support the same behavior by the other, then you are simply a partisan hypocrite.

I'm an independent who has always leaned conservative, and even donated to the Trump campaign in 2016. But I can be objective and realize that he is bad for America and - in my opinion - needs to go. Biden isn't the candidate I would choose, but this nonsense can't continue. Even if it means I take a financial hit personally. Some things are more important.

Remember: if you support this crap now, you had better embrace it when the shoe is on the other foot.
I Absolutely Love This!

If I May, as I have said to some Trump Supporters. One day & it may be sooner than we expect, Democrats will be in control of all levels of government & based on what Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Gram, Tim Scott etc... has allowed President Trump to get away with & done, the following will occur:

1. Supreme Court Judges will be appointed by simple Left majority (Merritt Garland reminder & nuclear appointments)!
2. More & more Federal Judges with political ties to the left will be appointed with simple Senate Majority!
3. Inspector Generals fired for not following political agenda (5 IGs fired in less than a month without cause, hello Watergate)!
4. Adherence with UCMJ destroyed (Roosevelt, SEAL publicly ridiculing Admirals & Generals) because of Trump actions!

Personally, I am not looking forward to that day. I am Praying To Come Through what Trump & his majority has & is doing to Our Country & Constitution!

Again, I Salute You My Friend for A Wonderful Post!

*Que the folks saying Im a part of the problem for not voting.
.

In South Carolina your vote for President is irrelevant. That’s true in the vast majority of states. In most Federal Election years I could easily tell you ahead of time how 44 or 45 states are going to go. California is always going to vote blue. Mississippi is always going to vote red. There are only a small handful of states that are actually in play and decide the election. This is an odd year and the number is a little higher but it’s still only 7 or 8.

The irony of our current situation is that people say the Electoral College was designed to prevent a small group of states from deciding the election for everyone but that’s exactly what we have. Unless you live in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan etc your Presidential vote is meaningless.

That’s a long way of saying no one should say anyone in South Carolina is part of the problem for not voting for President
