I watched the game today with particular attention to the officials. The crowd was booing an awful lot and Brownell complaining for the officials to be calling a one sided game. Kentucky got a whole lot of foul shots from contact on drives to the bucket. The out-of-bounds review in the final 2 minutes went their way. Kentucky's offense is dependent on picks and their bigs were moving. They were only called for an obvious one.
The one SEC centric announcer did make several comments that "Clemson got away with one". Schef had a lot of misses - with contact. Wiggins was hit on the hand and body with what that same announcer called a clean block.
In reading through the Kentucky threads, there were some savvy fans that blamed the coach and players. I strongly agree with the criticism that the team lacked a level of cohesion. There were unforced turnovers - passes out of bounds mostly, that made the difference for Clemson. Given a star studded roster of mostly transfers, that is not unexpected this early in the season.
