Kind of OT: Perry Noble back on the market...

I guess I need to get a life just wasting 30 seconds typing this but what the hell does some of you idiots preoccupation with Perry Noble have to do with Clemson football and Tiger Illustrated?

Speaking of obsession, it's almost like Newspring is obsessed with PN even after 13 months. The Church should have moved on long ago but both sides still act like little children - bickering back and forth - he said/she said blah, blah, blah.

That’s all churches btw...

Surprised some mod hasn't zapped this or moved it to Round Table.

Anywho....4 pages, until it gets moved.

Someone else having problems isn't supposed to be enjoyable.

Proverbs 24:17-18
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;

Or the LORD will see it and be displeased,
And turn His anger away from him.

Perry Noble Announces Divorce

I don't see how this isn't a good thing for our recruiting. PN will now have a cavalcade of young ladies hovering around him as he seeks to show them his radiant love, and fill them with his holy spirit.

The football practice baptisms will now look like a cross between the playboy mansion party (RIP), and a Benny Hill faith summit.

Dude is an alcoholic and an internet porn addict. Strong combo for a preacher.

Probably has something to do with him being prominent, and their memebers having questions.

We can agree to disagree on this. I’d rather not show how hypocritical all religions are. I’m sure that will workup a good bit of people on here.

As for a terrible thing, nearly all wars and conflicts in history can be traced back to religious conflicts.

Personally I don’t understand why’s Westboro Baptist get hated on, they are just following the Bible literally. It’s the newsprings of the world that cherry pick stuff they like and just make up other stuff. Not just mega churches, but they are the ones making millions.

There’s one in every one of these threads. Somehow you think you come off as enlightened, when most just see posts like this as ignorant of theooogy and history.

Never occurred to me, since I never thought about it.

But, Catholic Church is the largest real estate owner in the world. Makes sense.
To be fair, some person or organization has to be the largest real estate owner in the world. (And I don't know whether the statement above is true or false.) And it isn't the universal Catholic Church that owns property, it is the local diocese or archdiocese. Moreover, just because they own the buildings doesn't mean they are profiting from that ownership. In most areas of the country, the number of parishes are shrinking and the Catholic Church is jettisoning the buildings. They are bleeding financially from having to provide upkeep to ancient buildings without a sufficient number of parishioners to pay overhead costs. But there isn't much of a market these days for old Catholic Churches.

But a diocese may have 80 to 100 parishes while a Protestant or non-denominational church may have just 1 or a handful. A more apt comparison might be whether the Catholic Church, which is the oldest and most established Christian denomination in the world, owns more or less real estate than all of the other Christian-based churches around the world. I don't have an answer to that, either.

The issue should not be so much 'how much real estate does a Church own?' but 'how does a Church utilize the assets it has been provided?' In that context, while I am biased, I would say there is no Church that does as much for the poor than the Catholic Church.

I don’t think I’m enlightened. Just understand the reality. Like I said, I can get into a religion debate if you want, but we all know how that will turn out. It comes down to one basic question. Is the Bible true?

  • THOSE OF US NOT BLINDED BY PROPHET PERRYS “GOSPEL” SAW THIS FROM A MILE AWAY.
  • THIS IS RELEVANT TO TIGER ILLUSTRATED. THIS GUY WAS VERY CLOSE TO OUR FOOTBALL PROGRAM FOR A FEW YEARS WHICH SHOULD NEVER BE THE CASE FOR ANY RELIGIOUS LEADER.
  • IF YOURE A CHRISTIAN, THATS GREAT. HOWEVER, BEWARE OF A POS LIKE PERRY. HE BRAINWASHED THOUSANDS AND GUILTTRIPPED MILLIONS....ALL WHILE BEING A BOOZE HOUND AND SHITTY HUSBAND. JOIN A CHURCH FOR THE RIGHG REASONS. THOUSANDS FOLLOWED NS BECAUSE IT WAS A SOCIAL OUTLET, NOT A SPIRITUAL ONE.
  • LOL IF YOU DONT SEE THE CONNECTION WITH THE EXEC ASSISTANT.
  • TO ALL THE NS SHEEP - YOU STILL OK NOT KNOWING WHERE ALL THE MONEY WENT? OR DO YOU STILL THINK IT ALL WENT TO SERVE GOD...VIA PERRY?

This all makes a remarkable amount of sense. Who are you and what have you done with @TAINT_PAINT

Dude, come on.
Perry didn't invent the mega church.
And if you have a problem with wealth, I guess you have no interest in heaven itself.
You know, the streets of gold and mansions..... just doesn't sound like poverty to me.
Perry's not my preacher, but he brought the gospel of Jesus to a lot of people. Why is that such a terrible thing?

Doesn't it talk in the bible about how hard it is for a rich man to get into heaven? Plus the parable where Jesus asked the man to give up his wealth and follow him? Then the whole point about Jesus turning over the tables on the money changers in the temple? I think the bible is more anti wealth than pro wealth.

Finally, isn't the whole point about mansions of gold as being a reward for service on earth where you follow God instead of money?

I guess this time he figured if he was gonna start another cult, it might as well be one of those fun ones where he gets to bang all the female members.

It worked for Dr. Gene Scott. Used to get that dude on a wild feed on my ginormous satellite dish back in the early 90s. Not sure I ever saw anything else quite like his shtick.

Ugh.... “Christianity” just took another huge blow. That’s who the masses associate Christians with.

I feel a lot of pity for the man.

Never really agreed with how he managed a church, kept the finacials under lock and key, guilted/scared people into tithing, manipulated the system to have best selling books and always acted arrogant and condescending while believing he was the smartest guy in the room but he obviously has some serious issues and I hope he gets help.

Pride goeth before a fall.

That picture from 2012 doesn't explain why 5 years later many of you go full blown retard and continually bring up this guy for no apparent present day reason. New material fellas please, lets move on.

I think I explained why it is relevant.

Not even close...

k....here goes: Bc almost everyone knew he was a scoundel back then and bc we know he is a scoundrel now. Ergo, should have never been associated with Clemson University. I highly doubt you will get it anyway, but at least I tried.
