It's also related to a lot of unattended teens forming gangs and wreaking havoc with no fear due to numbers and also no fear of long term incarceration.

Issues like this are also a byproduct of the breakdown of the nuclear family model and loss of morality and good values in general.

My kids were born in 79 and 81 and they or there friends were never involved in shit like this . I was a teen in the 70's when 150 to 200 kids dragged main street in our local town on the weekends and crap like this never happened. Even one on one fist fights between kids from different high schools rarely happen. I also dragged main street in Greenville a few times during the 70's and never seen anyone fighting .

This is true, but I think there’s a difference in the type of behavior and gang violence from the 80s. Maybe I’m off base, but it seems like most of the traditional miscreants were from lower income households/areas. Now, it seems you have a more privileged upper middle class of shitheads.

That's a valid point. I also take so many of these stories with a grain of salt since we hear about everything now through 24 hour news and Social Media so many of these things were probably happening and we are hearing about it now.

I honestly don't think people are worse today than they have been throughout history, we just hear about everything.
