NASCAR Bros: A Question

#OverheadDoor ..... NASCAR should call them immediately and rid the sport of manual garage doors! Enough is enough!

I see you missed the point of my post. Do you think the removal of a statue is removing history? Are there no longer books or the internet after the statue is removed?

Also you seem disgusted by NASCAR because they did the right thing when pushback was to be expected.
#ALL Black Lives Matter
Tear down the abortion clinics that are systematically killing thousands of black Children daily. Systematic racism is in full effect here in the strategically placed clinics. Are you going to do something about it? Or will you be complicit to the system of murder?

I’m disgusted with Nascar because it appears they made something into something is wasn’t. There are ropes like that on all of the garage doors. End of discussion.

Removing statues is only the beginning. They now even want the ones of JESUS removed under the guise He was white. Anyone with a brain knows He was Jewish and if He weren’t He is the Som of the Living God!

So yes monuments and statues is the attempt at removing history. If it were not why else would they do it?

But they will soon cross the line and there will be push back and that’s not going to turn out well for them. Their Democratic puppets are playing them and could care less about them! That’s a fact. Some on the left are seeing that clearly now and waking up.

Is this your new shtick instead of blowing up COVID-19 threads with the same post repeatedly?

Answer the question. You can’t because you’re a hypocrite
As soon as you make a valid question or point towards what I have posted, I'll do the same to you.

Hows that Covid death count going for you btw?

It appears that NASCAR handled it just like it should have been handled. One guy has brought up the idea of removing jesus statues and a highy majority of rational people have agreed that doing so isn't necessary.

The reason people want to remove names like Tillman or statues of confederates is because those people don't deserve to be honored in that way. They were people who believed in horrible things and did horrible things. Why would you want a statue of someone like that in a public space? Again, a statue isn't the only form of history we have to look back on. There are museums, text books, the internet to keep record of these people and events.

You disregarded my Germany post but they recognize their terrible past but don't have any monuments to glorify those in leadership. Do you think the memory of Nazi Germany will be forgotten because we don't have Nazi statues? Surely you have more sense than that.

It not a million yet like all of y’all claimed. BTW nice deflection hypocrite
I never claimed it would be a million. Spend your afternoon finding my post where I said that. Also, your posts are clearly deflecting from the topic at hand in this thread. Well done.

You don't see how someone on Wallace's team, the only black driver, a product of NASCARs diversity program, who just drove a BLM car, could over interpret that and in their desire to protect the driver went overboard in their reaction?

The problem is that the knee jerk reaction went viral because of social media and the general media's race to be first without any real thought and analysis. A large part of the issues going on today (from the President's twitter account to the origin of BLM) is because of initial knee-jerk reactions move at the speed of light with no checks and balances.

The show of solidarity was awesome even if the origin was now re-evaluated. Now Wallace needs to just be quiet on the issue, thank his competitor for their support and talk about moving forward as a group. Don't double down on the symbolism.
Yah I agree. Media has no checks and balances anymore, the newscycle never stops so everyone can find a point in which the narrative was wrong while the facts are coming out and become outraged about it. Then claim whatever they want about the medias bias or whatever.
60 years ago there would have been a news article about the event with just interviews and verfications of what the claims were then the next day another article coming out about the FBI's conclusions. People would have calmly talked about it as a mistake and moved on. Now everyone has to react to everyone.

The media and liberals where screaming it’s gonna kill millions. It hasn’t I was correct.
I have raised a valid point and you being the hypocrite you are can’t answer.

Radical Christian?? Now you’re showing your cards. At the root of all of this is an all out attack on Christianity. But the thing is we know the ending when it’s all said and done. You lose and hell will not be a pleasant place for all of eternity. I will sincerely pray for you. I don’t wish that on anyone. May God change your heart and open your eyes
Don't confuse your form of Christianity with the teachings of Jesus Christ

I was born and raised in the south. The confederate flag may have once been about heritage but it has been irrevocably hijacked by right wing racist groups. The lost cause (Civil War) was lead by a traitors. Lincoln would have had every right to arrest the leaders of the movement and hang them for treason. Why we ever erected statues to honor them is beyond me. Where are the statues honoring the British Generals who fought against us in the revolution? There aren't any.
Your calling abortion "murder" is interesting. We are a nation of laws. The law says that "murder" is the unlawful killing of a human being by another human being. Since abortion, in some instances, is legal it is not an unlawful killing. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that fetuses are not human beings in the earlier stages of pregnancy. So, you calling it murder is like me calling the death penalty "murder". It isn't.

Bubba Wallace the NEW Jesse Smollett

Just call me Cracker but I like to stick to the truth and facts

Instead of 15 FBI agents the news was published by the FAKE NEWS

Trump is dead on right

I agree with removing nazi garbage anywhere. Renaming a building named after someone who did something horrible if fine. The problem is when you give an they take everything. So unless we want all of our history erased we have to stop somewhere

I truly don't give a **** about this, so I don't know or care to take the time to follow the details, but to be clear: what terrible awful things have happened as a result of this incident (whether it happened or not).

Drivers came together and marched with bubba? And so you all are full-blown freaking out about the downfall of society. @Sportyfella ITT barely able to survive.
Actually a sport where you are against everyone else participating had a bunch of idiotic participants get together and push this one special drivers car while he sat in it. What kind of ass kissing, white guilt horse shit is that?

I dont keep up with Nascar anymore but that was the dumbest crap I've ever seen (I didn't watch it but my wife told me about it and showed me the video). You are different than me but where I'm from you respect everybody but you dont bow down to anybody and you dont owe anybody a damn thing. It was a perfect example of why Nascar is slowly dying and has been for years.

You have so many males giving up their manhood due to feeling guilty for something they have nothing to do with. I have never mistreated anyone because of their color and I will never treat anyone as if they are special because of their color. Thats the way it should be.

Sooo standing with bubba wasn't masculine, and therefore "the dumbest crap you've ever seen". This is a mature and we'll reasoned perspective. Thanks for posting.

No need to say another word. Supporting the removal of our history says it all. Ignorance on a whole different level.
So, too me it depends on what statues and monuments we are talking about. If we are talking about Confederate monuments, yes absolutely, take them down. Why should a person who was a traitor to his country and fought in open rebellion against his country, be honored with a memorial or statue or have a military base named after him? If we need to honor our history with statues in order to "remember it", where are all the Benedict Arnold Statues? Additionally, if statues are so important to remember our history, why were a lot of these statues erected in the 50's and 60's? Quite the coincidence that symbols of the confederacy and slavery were erected during the Civil Rights movement?

NOW ... I will openly admit that Im not supportive of removing monuments to US presidents or framers of our country purely because they were products of their time and owned slaves. I DONT believe that history should be "white washed" and their ownership of slaves should be glossed over ...

So instead of trying to take a reasonable stand and have nuanced conversation, you rather draw the line at zero just because you have a belief that all will be erased. Gotcha.

Black lives matter is a radical, political corporation preying off of the emotions of people. The organization is evil to the core and the money goes primarily to politicians. Go to their website and look for yourself.

I still believe in freedom of speech so if a person chooses to use to confederate flag they have the right to do so. I don’t agree with it but that’s how it has to be or we are done as a country.

I’m assuming you agree with the statues being torn down and vandalized.

Oh I don’t give two shits about the civil war and statues. I hear they are threatening to destroy the Lincoln Memorial though. I’m not sure why other than they are communist. I’m waiting patiently to hear their reasons for this one.

The Death penalty is murder.

Oh BTW
Mans laws loliyf

there is no argument. It’s a fact
nah you're opinion and attempt at making that a valid point is an argument. its not a fact.
The sky is blue is a fact. It can be objectively verified. You attempting to say if you give them an inch they will take a mile, is a slippery slope argument. You are projecting your fears onto others and rationalizing them in doing so. Each issue with a person of history being honored with memorialization as a statue or building has its own discussion to be had as to whether or not its appropriate. So, yeah your point is invalid and shallow and is actually a fallacy.

Ok. How’s this. Keep tearing down the statues and stripping away our liberties and watch what happens. You will be on the wrong side of history pal.

Please explain what it means.

Well. To start. The 1st amendment literally has nothing to do with a private corporation telling folks who pay to attend a private event what they can and can't say. It's entirely about government censorship of speech. So please tell us all, oh wise lawyers ITT how the 1st amendment applies to Nascar banning Confederate flags.

What? How are your liberties being stripped away when a confederate statue is removed from public grounds? Cite the constitution.(The United States of America constitution, not the confederate states one)

I’m going to assume this is the correct thread to put this so here’s what happened:

The so called “noose” would of never been discovered if the race wasn’t postponed due to weather. With new Covid protocol, the cars and team don’t ever go in the garages unless there is a delay. The driver is not allowed in the garage and must distance himself from the team. The garages are assigned randomly so this was pure coincidence that Bubba’s car was assigned this garage. Yes there was a noose tied on the garage door rope for pulling down the door but it had been there since last year. A member of Bubba’s team, who also happened to be black, discovered it when they put the car in the garage bc of the delay. He cut it off and showed it to his manager.

Here’s where NASCAR knee jerked and overreacted. They didn’t think a crime was being committed but weren’t 100% sure and with the current uneasiness, they didn’t want it to get out and come across like they were hiding it. The press release was more aggressive than they would of liked so all hell broke loose and the FBI got involved. Normally there would of been cameras everywhere for cheating and security but the cars are now inspected beforehand and come off the trailer ready to race. If the cameras would have been there they would of been able review the tape and realize it had been there and no one tied it recently. It was a noose so you could understand how it could of been interpreted under these circumstances.

This is basically how it all went down whether you believe it or not. I just wanted to pass along.

Where does it stop? Do we rename the city of Houston because of Sam Houston? And all the other Cities named after people who in some way offended someone?

I remember visiting Rome and walking around and seeing all of the old history. Trust me they have statues of people who did unbelievable atrocities to Christians during Caesar's reign but I never thought about tearing them down. You can rename all the buildings and tear down all the statues you want but that won't fix the root of the problem.
