OK so I haven’t been living under a rock and have been following the whole saga from day 1, read all of Larry’s articles, etc. But it’s a lot of legal jargon / situations that go over my head at times so I was wondering if the board can help me out.
What is the simplest way to explain Clemson’s lawsuit, and what they are actually seeking? I’m trying to explain to my mouth-breathing UGA friends that it’s a lot more nuanced than simply “Clemson whining and reneging on a deal they agreed to” like they seem to think.
I know it’s something along the lines of seeking clarification as to when the GoR expires, and how that relates to ESPN’s agreement expiring in 2027 or whatever and not 2036 like the ACC is saying?
Anyways, would any of you experts be so kind as to provide a very brief rundown easily explaining the situation so I can sound like I know what I’m talking about to my buddies without tripping over myself? Lol
