Flying tomorrow, can’t wait to be mask free
If you have been flying a fair amount during this nonsense, it will be a more welcome relief than you think. I have 100 hours of flight/airport time this quarter. It’s a huge impact for me.
People seem more human too. Some laughs and jokes getting settled as opposed to the robotic isolation of masked existence.
Imagine a world where there was a forum on Tiger Illustrated for posts like this, it would be as glorious as flying without a mask!
So now you’re on the most unsafest flight in the history of the world. You should still double mask, where a head wrap and run a wrapit test every 15 minutes. Also drink hand sanitizer and maybe bleach.
Considering the pandemic made it obvious how many people don't wash their hands or cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze, I might keep wearing mine permanently.

Yeah, I agree. We should move it where nobody can see it and/or discuss such things. We should be like Twitter and ban OP or just hide his post going forward. Maybe we should increase viewership for the opposite view like those who think mask should be here to stay.

It was nice not having any colds or sniffles in our house the last couple of years. I usually keep a mask on me in case I need it, but I'm confident I won't get too sick with my vax status. It's the toddler I'm concerned about, but then I see him eat cheerios off the floor from god knows when and I figure he'd be fine too lol

No Ron. That information has been banned because it's "false". It's very dangerous to spread such lies, therefore even when the science changes, we should not discuss it.
I remember when it was all conspiracy theory. When it was "dangerous" to spread such information. Man, those covid threads would be an interesting read about now.
Nobody likes admitting they were duped. It's easier to pretend they didn't know it wasn't from a bat. They didn't know it leaked from a lab. Fauci never funded it. China did on accident. Pure coincidence in was during an election year. It certainly wasn't an act of war. Remember when the media told us that? Remember when getting boosters was a conspiracy?
They were only trying to save lives. If you believe differently you should be banned from any social media. It's too dangerous to allow people to feel that way.

I think wearing masks is silly. But don't care if anyone else wears one or not. And I certainly don't want the government telling anyone what they have to do.
Or a world where people took responsibility for their own lives as opposed to government dictate. You know like America once.

COVID, because of the long-term impacts that we still aren’t aware of. MIS-C is some scary stuff, too. It seems the majority of cases aren’t serious, but if I can mitigate the risk factor, I’ll do that.
Our family has been fortunate, both parents worked from home before the vaccines were widely available to our age group. I know a few people who got COVID, some vaxed, and thankfully no serious cases.
Of course you don't, most don't.. but THEY do. It's never been about that.

Many important things, but I’m not sure how those are correlated. Wearing a mask for extended periods just sucks and doesn’t really accomplish much. Glad not to do it anymore.
I mean I’m not wearing a mask ever again if I can help it, but I do hope that COVID improved personal hygiene across the population. The unwashed masses could benefit from some hand sanitizer and hand wash reminders.

I don’t fly a ton but I was in the air the 18th when it all went down. It was pretty neat. Especially when we landed in DC for a plane transfer.
Masks never really bothered me because I wore them every day at work for 40 years. But it still felt good to have the option. I resisted the urge to burn it in flight.

Oh, and if masks don't help, someone should really let these guys know.
The data is all lab based on perfect conditions.
It did very little if anything in reality.
States with mask mandates had the same infection rates (actually higher) than States with no mandates.
If you look at the 7 day rolling average, infection rates did not change at all when mandates where put in and ended.
Believe whatever you want, it doesn't impact me, you can keep wearing your mask if you want.
