The NYT opinion page is the liberal equivalent of the Fox News prime-time lineup, but the rest of the paper is filled with some of the best journalists in the country doing actual investigative journalism. It's fascinating to me how so many low-to-moderate income crackers (Trump lovers) support republican policies, when those policies are actually financially harmful to them. If they would align themselves with others in their economic group (minorities), they might be able to better themselves. I guess it's just this sense of white superiority no matter how poor you are.

They have fought their neighbors and brothers since the 2nd century, they hated us before we ever dropped a bomb. Read up on what their beliefs are and how they conduct themselves will make sense. Most of the educated Mexicans I know actually urged their family members in the US to vote for Trump or at least NOT vote for Hillary. My wife and other educated Mexicans hate illegal immigration and agree with deportation and guess why, because when the roles are reversed, Mexico has no problem kicking an illegal out. In fact, you have two days to declare your intentions or leave, otherwise you get deported.
I've always said if the US would adopt the same laws as Mexico, you probably wouldn't have the illegal population that the US has.
So we American citizens should vote for trump because a bunch Mexicans that you know would vote for trump if they could vote for trump. Got it. I always let foreigners with foreign interests tell me who to vote for.
