Given the broad interest I see on these threads about the city of Charleston, I thought this might pique some TI members' interest.

Since last last August, I have been hosting a biweekly video podcast focused on housing policy. It has been an interesting feature I brought to the role shortly after I was hired a year ago as head of government relations for a mortgage insurer. It struck me that few cities are challenged by such interconnected problems to the degree that Charleston faces - lack of affordable housing, lots of racial inequity and constant flooding. So I reached out and asked Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg (whom I first met about 18 months ago), if he would be my guest.

Tecklenburg is an interesting guest and really passionate in his views, particularly about racial equity and climate change. Like him or not, he's not backing away from trying to address the city's problems.

Thought I'd share a link to the interview and I welcome your comments.
