OT Wendy’s Chili is a LOSER

My wife and I were traveling on I95 going through Santee and stopped at the Wendy’s at Exit 98

Bought large Chili for each of us for dinner to eat with ham sandwich

Got home warmed the chili and proceeded to taste the absolute loser of a chili

The tomato soup mixture had no hamburger , peppers onions cheese and only a few white beans and even fewer brown beans

Since it was what I bought and decided to accept it as tomato soup and with that I was not disappointed

What most people will miss on what my post means is that the quality of food and many people serving the food is at the bottom of the barrel

If you have restaurant stock sell it

If you want to eat out don’t

And when you shop at the grocery stores learn to appreciate boneless and skinless sardines in olive oil and served on brown rice with onions smothered in Dijon mustard sauce

Or grow your own garden as America is going to crap and I want to thank the people who did this because there is a coming revolt against this lunacy and we will return to conservative responsible government and Clemson will win 3 NC in the next 7 years

I literally used to “camp out” at the downtown Wendy’s next to campus in Columbia…hey, I was a poor grad student.

Afterwards, I’d go back in the Earth & Water Science Bldg. up to my thesis lab and run the vent hood to prevent toxic methane build up.

Originally Wendy’s was to cook burgers at peak times and if they did not sell within a few minutes, cook more and use meat in chili.
We buy it now and then and normally good to great but possibly the local guy….
You will wait in drive through way to long and possibly be told they are out of whatever…
I normally get behind someone with 3 children in the car and when the get to the speaker they call someone to take there orders, then the 3 children one by one. Get to the window and say they ordered fries drinks and negotiate to get something free

I love Wendys. Probably my go to fast food place compared to BK or McDonald's. I haven't had their chili in several years tho. It's definitely dependent on the restaurant you go to. Like any other restaurant it's about management

There is no fast food in Santee. There are chain drive-through restaurants, but none are fast. Most have closed because of it. Next time stop at Exit 219 in Manning. Lots of options.

Wendy's chili is hit or miss. If they scoop the ladle off the top you get nothing but liquid.

BTW - their chili, although not great, is good when you are driving. You can drink it and it's lower in carbs and calories than burgers.
