It worked for him in 2016 because he needed to BUILD a base to run an insurgent campaign as a non insider candidate inside of the Republican party. If he played by the rules he would have never gotten the nomnation and never would have won the presidency. Different situation in 2020 and even moreso in 2024.

Exactly. Michelle Obama has no qualifications other than being Barak's wife. Can you imagine her going up against Trump in a debate? It would be her first debate under the literal glare of the spotlight vs Trump who is a seasoned veteran. Plus, she would have to defend the democrats record the past 4 years as America knows Barak has been pulling the stings in DC and not Joe Biden. She would immediately own the border issues and the last 4 years of inflation.
