I really wouldn't hold my breath, man. It would be a dream come true for the Democrats, but I just don't see any way the Republicans don't nominate Trump. It's his party now.

Of course, he could be convicted of a federal crime and unable to run, which would be the best double whammy of all time.

Watch over the next couple weeks as Trump hard pivots to the center, just long enough to convince the party he's a voice of reason, and leaves DeSantis hanging out to dry as the lone authoritarian voice. Desantis will walk right into the trap too, because his political instincts are as bad as Trump's are good.
