Run of the mill White

I don't care what she says. None of that stuff really bothers me. What I do find annoying is that she is standing up there pointing out the racial constitution of her team as though that somehow matters. Who gives a crap what people look like? Our obsession with our appearance is perplexing. It just doesn't matter at all. At the end of the day, it's mostly about keeping up appearances rather than anything genuine or significant.

I don't think she's (I shouldn't assume pronouns) saying non-athletic or non-meaningful white players. She's talking about nationalities, basically saying she's "got regular old american's too."
changing what she said.....how "really white" of you.

A a run of the mill white, am I supposed to be offended by that?
No, but everybody is offended by everything now, so if they’re gonna play the game so should everyone else

How many white people have lost their careers or had their lives ruined over innocuous comments that were innocent in intention?

I don’t think she should lose her job over something so trivial and stupid, but I also don’t play the double standard game. In a normal, sane world, everyone would just shrug this off, but it’s 2023 and the standard has been established that this particular type of transgression is the worst thing ever

End of the day I doubt anything happens to her because the aggrieved party is too pale in color

I don't know. How many?

How many black people weren't granted full civil rights for over 300 years in this country? The answer is all of them. Cry me a river.

I'm sure, in time, you'll fully recover from this.

Anyone have some pearls I can grasp? WGAS?

Sure, some people would be offended if it was the other way. Be the change you want to see in the world.

Right because that’s the dichotomy we’re dealing with here.

The point is not how offended or thick skinned we should be. The point is that this is exactly the language that would get a white person fired. The point is an egregious double standard which is taking root in young hearts and minds. One which redefines ethics as a way of righting past wrongs. Which changes the morality of an action based upon immutable characteristics of the offender and of those against whom the offense has been committed.

Again, if you can’t see how that’s going to shape the future, negatively, all I’d say is you’ll find out.

Like moths to a flame

Black people not having civil rights in the early days of the US means we should be cool with double standards and perpetuating racism and discord. Got it. This totally won’t sow resentment and makes a toooooonnnnnn of sense. Not.

Does that future look worse or better than the past?

Thought you would know. Clearly not.

Beyond reprehensible seems a smidgen overboard. To me at least.
Where do you think “run of the mill” comes from. Do you not see how derogatory that is. It’s the same thing as saying (which has been said many many times since 2020) that white people have no culture.

Saw where one of those white girls (different school) signed a big NIL endorsement with State Farm

It makes no sense for you to hate cancel culture and then participate in it.

For the record, 22 ain't "run of the mill."

I'm pretty sure if you flew a covey of quail through that gym, every last one of them would point.
I’m not sure “she” is even a she
