"Putting aside any notion that Trump, given Elon’s legally questionable “sweepstakes” in the 7 swing states and his statement about Elon knowing his way with vote counting machines, did not win a fair election, his actions today against Ukraine, Canada and Mexico and his suspension of cyber measures against Russia, constitute the biggest act of Treason by a President of the United States against her Allies, and eventually, against her own people.
The actions against Canada in particular will, besides damaging the stock market, lead to higher construction and real estate prices, which will benefit Trump at the expense of everyday Americans.
He is already in a precarious position regarding DOGE: either it is outside of the executive branch, but not regulated by Congress and therefore in violation of the Constitution’s Appointments Clause, or it is part of the executive branch, as he states, and therefore it has no right to interfere with funds appropriated by Congress, and is in violation of Article I of the Constitution.
Without the support of Republicans who actually stand for the Constitution and for strong military alliances, it will be up to the People to hold this administration accountable, through the Courts and elections provided they will be fair. An independent press and social media without censure will be critical."
