Seriously, how can anyone support this?

Nobody has frowned on what any of you guys do. Just curious since some on here are experts in specific fields. Those, for me do get some additional respect when they speak on this topics.

We have guys who work in loans and mortgages, we have guys who are lawyers, we have people in management of all sorts of businesses. When we discuss gas or energy, I decr to our poster who is a lawyer in that field. He obviously knows more than I do and deserves some respect for that expertise.

I respect anyone who works hard to provide for himself and his loved ones. No job shaming from me. I'm just an old kitchen guys at heart.
I’m running a business myself, I have applications engineers and field service folks that work for me. Just because someone may have “expertise” doesn’t make them an authority. Fauci was an expert - and a complete fraud, and we could both reel off several more. If you are following your line of thinking isn’t Trump an expert on business? He’s been more successful than anyone on here by multiples but that doesn’t stop a lawyer or a mortgage guy from telling everyone on here how dumb he is. What do they know about business? A lawyer doesn’t produce anything, neither does a mortgage guy. They’re service people. They provide a service for a fee that literally anyone can do, just get the piece of paper. And the funny thing is you could make an argument I do as well, most managerial people are that way. They offer a different perspective but that does not make it authoritative. I am constantly learning from folks outside of my industry and it’s made me much more effective, if I dismiss or discount them I missed out on the chance to learn. We should be listening to everyone, especially those that are working and contributing to society. And we certainly shouldn’t just dismiss people’s opinions based on their occupation. I prefer this type of dialogue to the name calling too btw so I appreciate that!

Edit: because I’m a former D1 athlete and spent time with two pro organizations that makes me the authority on sports now right? I bet I’m the most qualified so does that mean you have to listen when I tell you no men in women’s sports?? Is a lawyer or a psychologist more of a source than some one that actually did it? Chris Berman is an “expert” but I wouldn’t want him teaching me to play.

Trump inherited $400 million from his daddy and then proceeded to actually make less money than if he had put it in the bank. All while bankrupting multiple times.

Being an abject failure certainly hurts your case for Trump.

I'm not saying you don't still get other opinions, other experts etc. but, having experience and higher level training should be respected and should have more credence than someone who does not work in that field.

I have the highest possible training and experience in athletics. Therefore you must listen to me and I’m right about no men in women in sports. You good with that??

Such a lame argument. “Would have made more money if he had just left it in The bank”

Exactly. As if there can be only one expert.

Or, god forbid, experts draw different conclusions.

They cite experts when it suits them.

Not only that but if we are being honest, you can find an “expert” that will say and claim anything. That was my point about Faucis lying ass, he was the highest paid employee in the entire federal government, that should be the definition of expert and it’s been proven that he’s a liar and is responsible for a lot of what happened during Covid. That expert was so good at his job a sitting president had to proactively pardon him or he’d be in prison for lying under oath, repeatedly lol. Forgive me for not blindly following people. Sheep.

Explain how it effects you? Tell me why? Provide some insight? I will value your insight and give it more weight.

For the record, we probably agree on this topic so it's not the gotcha you think. I just think it's a ridiculous thing to make such a big issue over. As I've said, there are more kids with measles than trans athletes in the NCAA. Might be a more important focus.

It directly affects and impacts my daughter. There is a finite time that young people can play sports. By introducing men to women’s sports you significantly decrease female participation thus eliminating the women’s sport. How many videos have there been of teams just not playing or leaving because of that nonsense? It’s happening all the time and it’s an assault by psychotic men on women’s sports. We have men sports for men. How does it affect you? Why is this it important to penalize women so you can validate a mentally ill guy? It’s crazy.

The second part about measles is off topic but id ask you do you think bringing in 20 million people from third world countries with no vaccine records could be contributing to the uptick in measles? Seems like it could be related.

So your daughter has had to compete with a trans athlete?

So your daughter has had to compete with a trans athlete?
No she doesn’t. Did you get detained yesterday without due process?

Now we are only allowed to have opinions on things that have direct impact on us? When does it stop.

I’m done with you. Every time you suck me back in to spit my face. Have a happy Good Friday. Jesus is King!

No, but you said it impacted you.
You’re unreal.

Here’s what I said:
It directly affects and impacts my daughter.

Here’s why it’s relevant:
It destroys women only sports.

Daughters a female athlete.

You’re so self righteous you can’t for one moment comprehend a differing viewpoint and you immediately attempt to dismiss that view by calling the person dumb or trying to discount their own lived experience. You’re the typical, ignorant, over confident liberal that thinks you know better than everyone. There’s absolutely no relevance to your question, as most every topic in here is not being personally experienced by every person that comments on it. You’re simply trying to deflect because the point I made is better and holds up. You have no rebuttal. That’s the truth. Peace to you bud.

Youre going to trust vaccine records from Cuba but you think maga is going to put you in a camp? Wow.

I trust Cuba more than the words that come from Trump's mouth if that tells you anything.

The coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.”

“Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low.”

“We’re very close to a vaccine and we’re very close to therapeutics, really good therapeutics. But even without that, I don’t like to talk about that because it’s fading away.”

"You know, a lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat — as the heat comes in. Typically, that will go away in April."

I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute, and is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside, or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that.”

I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down because I don’t want to create a panic.” Comments to journalist Bob Woodward on 19 March.

Explain, with facts and not hyperbole, how this miniscule amount of trans athletes is destroying women's sports .... Particularly when at no time in history are more women playing sports, and there are more pro women leagues than at anytime before.

Why are you so angry? Is it self righteous to call you out on your ignorance?

I think you don't like that you are constantly wrong and many people, including your fellow MAGAs have called you out for it.

I just want honest debate instead of hyperbolic anger.

idk man I think it’s wrong. I think they need mental help not to be coddled. You could use the same dumb logic. How many Americans have been deported without due process recently - very few - probably less than trans in women’s sports I’d bet. But we care because of the impact down the road. I’m not gonna debate you on why a fuc:ing man shouldn’t play against women. If you need to debate that I’m not the guy. I think your overreaction here is telling more than you are willing to admit. I mean no disrespect but is this close to your heart or community? This is the only issue you really get gassed up about is why I ask. I have no problem either btw. Do what you want. Just don’t subject innocent girls to your madness. I mean this is 95/5 position that you’re ready to go to battle over.

I don't see Yoshi coddling anyone or arguing that men should be allowed to compete against women. It's something we all agree on and since it's such a small number of people that are affected, we just find it odd that it animates you in such an over the top, angry way.

We agree with you - full stop - but holy sh*t there are much bigger fish to fry. Move on...

Why not just say that then? Let him speak for himself. Secondly. Only a small number were impacted by not getting due process. Only one or two, why’s that a big deal? Why are yall so angry and over the top about that?

I think even though the number is small in both cases it’s prudent to make sure it is addressed. Implement what the people want. Period.

I literally said above that I don't disagree with you. I have stated that I don't think a biological male adult who transitioned after puberty should be allowed to compete with women, they have advantages.

What I have disagreed with is the demonizing of an entire group of people over a minutes amount of times this plays a part at all.

I'm absolutely a moderate and pretty reasonable. Most of my issues are when we treat other humans like shit.

If being an asshole to other people gets you off, you aren't my kind of person and not who I will ever align myself with.

I believe in empathy, I believe in respect, I believe the vast majority of humans are awesome people who care about others.

On this Easter weekend I think it's appropriate to say, I believe in following the teachings of God and to Love my neighbor

Constantly twisting words. I never demonized anyone. I said that men do not belong in women’s sports. End of discussion. People are free to do what they want. But that doesn’t give them the right to hurt others. You should go watch a men’s VB then watch women play. There’s not a woman on planet earth that can hit a ball like me, not one. That means two things - I can dominate their sport and I can seriously injure them. That’s wrong. You can go wear a dress, put on eye make up and call yourself Susie, that doesn’t give you the right to go into a woman’s restroom or play a sport. Those are public spaces for women only, it’s not fair to subject women to that type of potential injury so you can feel good about yourself. I cannot believe I’m having to explain this. And you are twisting words. Same as you did with the tax thing. You’re either not paying attention or intentionally misleading, either way it’s annoying. You should be better than that.

Happy Easter to you as well.

For the record. I wasn't referring to you as demonizing, but commenting on you saying you had seen me posting and defending the trans community. I was trying to add context to when I comment.

I disagree with how passionate you consider the topics, but you haven't been insulting or anything that I felt crossed the line.

Far be it from me to explain Yoshi's posts, but I assume he may have meant the demonization writ large of the trans community by those on the right. Many on the right are jihading, for the lack of a better term, against the trans community and hiding behind the guise of "we must protect the sanctity of women's sports." Not saying you are one of those, but I understand his point.

Thank you, you as well.

edit: I was beaten to the punch!

Yes of course. It’s been the only thing covered ad nauseam. If you don’t count J6 people there’s hardly any lol.

"They were sent to El Salvador as part of President Trump’s invocation of a 1798 wartime law known as the Alien Enemies Act, and under a deal worked out between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and El Salvador’s president Nayib Bukele.

None of the people on board knew what was coming, nor were they given any opportunity to raise objections in a court of law. All of these men are now being held incommunicado in El Salvador’s notorious “CECOT,” or Terrorism Confinement Center. A Time photojournalist who happened to be on hand described how the men had their heads shaved, were stripped naked, and struck by guards, with one man reported to have sobbed, pleading with guards, “I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.” Since that moment, none of the men have been able to speak to the public, their loved ones, or their lawyers. Their fate remains unknown.

How many J6ers received due process:
  • Guilty Pleas and Convictions: A significant portion of those charged have pleaded guilty. As of January 6, 2025, at least 1,270 people have been convicted, with 1,009 of them pleading guilty and 221 being convicted at trial.
  • Trials and Outcomes: Trials have been held for those who did not plead guilty, with a number of convictions resulting from these trials.
  • Sentencing: Many of the convicted defendants have been sentenced, with outcomes ranging from probation and community service to prison time, depending on the nature of the offenses.
Regarding Due Process:
  • Each individual charged in the January 6th investigations has been afforded the due process of law in the course of their case. This means they had the opportunity to have their case heard in court, have legal representation, present evidence, and challenge the government's case against them.
