I’m running a business myself, I have applications engineers and field service folks that work for me. Just because someone may have “expertise” doesn’t make them an authority. Fauci was an expert - and a complete fraud, and we could both reel off several more. If you are following your line of thinking isn’t Trump an expert on business? He’s been more successful than anyone on here by multiples but that doesn’t stop a lawyer or a mortgage guy from telling everyone on here how dumb he is. What do they know about business? A lawyer doesn’t produce anything, neither does a mortgage guy. They’re service people. They provide a service for a fee that literally anyone can do, just get the piece of paper. And the funny thing is you could make an argument I do as well, most managerial people are that way. They offer a different perspective but that does not make it authoritative. I am constantly learning from folks outside of my industry and it’s made me much more effective, if I dismiss or discount them I missed out on the chance to learn. We should be listening to everyone, especially those that are working and contributing to society. And we certainly shouldn’t just dismiss people’s opinions based on their occupation. I prefer this type of dialogue to the name calling too btw so I appreciate that!
Edit: because I’m a former D1 athlete and spent time with two pro organizations that makes me the authority on sports now right? I bet I’m the most qualified so does that mean you have to listen when I tell you no men in women’s sports?? Is a lawyer or a psychologist more of a source than some one that actually did it? Chris Berman is an “expert” but I wouldn’t want him teaching me to play.

I'm not saying you don't still get other opinions, other experts etc. but, having experience and higher level training should be respected and should have more credence than someone who does not work in that field.

That expert was so good at his job a sitting president had to proactively pardon him or he’d be in prison for lying under oath, repeatedly lol. Forgive me for not blindly following people. Sheep.

For the record, we probably agree on this topic so it's not the gotcha you think. I just think it's a ridiculous thing to make such a big issue over. As I've said, there are more kids with measles than trans athletes in the NCAA. Might be a more important focus.
It directly affects and impacts my daughter. There is a finite time that young people can play sports. By introducing men to women’s sports you significantly decrease female participation thus eliminating the women’s sport. How many videos have there been of teams just not playing or leaving because of that nonsense? It’s happening all the time and it’s an assault by psychotic men on women’s sports. We have men sports for men. How does it affect you? Why is this it important to penalize women so you can validate a mentally ill guy? It’s crazy.
The second part about measles is off topic but id ask you do you think bringing in 20 million people from third world countries with no vaccine records could be contributing to the uptick in measles? Seems like it could be related.

I don't see Yoshi coddling anyone or arguing that men should be allowed to compete against women. It's something we all agree on and since it's such a small number of people that are affected, we just find it odd that it animates you in such an over the top, angry way.

I literally said above that I don't disagree with you. I have stated that I don't think a biological male adult who transitioned after puberty should be allowed to compete with women, they have advantages.
What I have disagreed with is the demonizing of an entire group of people over a minutes amount of times this plays a part at all.
I'm absolutely a moderate and pretty reasonable. Most of my issues are when we treat other humans like shit.
If being an asshole to other people gets you off, you aren't my kind of person and not who I will ever align myself with.
I believe in empathy, I believe in respect, I believe the vast majority of humans are awesome people who care about others.

But that doesn’t give them the right to hurt others. You should go watch a men’s VB then watch women play. There’s not a woman on planet earth that can hit a ball like me, not one. That means two things - I can dominate their sport and I can seriously injure them. That’s wrong. You can go wear a dress, put on eye make up and call yourself Susie, that doesn’t give you the right to go into a woman’s restroom or play a sport. Those are public spaces for women only, it’s not fair to subject women to that type of potential injury so you can feel good about yourself. I cannot believe I’m having to explain this. For the record. I wasn't referring to you as demonizing, but commenting on you saying you had seen me posting and defending the trans community. I was trying to add context to when I comment.
I disagree with how passionate you consider the topics, but you haven't been insulting or anything that I felt crossed the line.
Far be it from me to explain Yoshi's posts, but I assume he may have meant the demonization writ large of the trans community by those on the right. Many on the right are jihading, for the lack of a better term, against the trans community and hiding behind the guise of "we must protect the sanctity of women's sports." Not saying you are one of those, but I understand his point.
