Seriously, how can anyone support this?

In full transparency this was the issue I had with illegal immigration all along. I don’t understand how nothing was done during the last administration. How were no judges watching what was happening and stopped that? It makes no sense and it could lead to less trust in the judicial system as it could be seen as partisan. How do you allow an administration to create a massive, illegal, unlawful problem then completely hamstring the next administration? How is there no repercussions for Mayorkas and Biden? If this is our policy why wouldn’t every immigrant in the world come here? We have created a huge problem. Seems like they should be held responsible. Ackman makes a reasonable point here:
A nation in which one administration can allow millions of unvetted illegal migrants into the country, but requires that a court vet each deportation decision in an individually adjudicated case will soon lose the values our democratic system was intended to preserve.

The challenge was this. We have specific laws on how America handles immigration. The last admin followed the existing law, and tries to create a new law that had bipartisan agreement, because everybody knew it wasn't working. Trump killed that bill because he needed it as an issue.

I felt the last admin did a pretty crappy job with immigration, and that there were legitimate concerns. However, to suggest that the "borders were open" isn't really true when the Biden Admin sent more people away than Trump's white House did.

This topic is another that requires some nuance, but nobody is willing to do that since it eliminates an easy way to blame.

We need to fix the immigration laws. The Executive Order Trump is using is pretty questionable legally, but I do give him kudos for fixing the influx. I have serious issues with the way they are treating people already in America, and I feel that they have gone waaayyy too far in their rhetoric towards immigrants.

Wow yoshi based on this analysis you are totally lost in the forest.

Prove me wrong. With your own words and not some right wing tweet
First of all it's total bs about having to create new laws to secure the border operationally. Trump did it in less than 2 weeks and that's a fact that none can refute. Any new laws would just be ignored by any globalist potus that comes along imo.

No yoshi the border was wide @$$ open. No amount of dem bs can make that true.

Yoshi the Trump admin has a herculean task to remove millions of unvetted illegals and giving them the country club treatment is not an option.

If you mean Democrat POTUS, we follow the law and if there was a law that protected the border, it couldn't be overturned like an exceutive order.

There had to have been something that could’ve been done in those 4 years. To do nothing was insane. And the fact is when the midterms were starting to close in all the sudden the border got much tighter. They were actually doing their job. My opinion is that the bipartisan argument from them was nothing more than an excuse. Something changed because in 2021 the crossings exploded. Then halfway through 24 it’s dropping dramatically. Doesn’t take 2.5-3 years to figure that one out.

So Joe followed the law on the border? You are out of your gourd if you believe that at all. Many more cases where they broke the law.

There was a bipartisan agreement, that while it wasn't perfect, would have allowed us to have more judges to speed the process up. That would have been a huge improvement.

He followed the law YES. That doesn't mean he couldn't have done more but technically, the law was followed.

How long will it be until it sinks in that just because you don't like something, it doesn't make it illegal?

No he didn't at all. He purposefully distorted the rules to achieve his objectives and anyone that thinks otherwise is not smart. It's that simple.

🚨Stephen Miller just called out what the Left's strategy is in regards to deportations:

"They're all gang members. They're all foreign terrorists. And now we are being told that they cannot be expelled from our country without an extraordinary amount of individualized adjudication at the district court, circuit court, supreme court, up and down, up and down, up and down."

"No American citizen receives this level of so-called due process. This isn't due process."

"This is called the infinity process to keep you here forever. That's what this is."

He's full of shit and that's a lie. They are most certainly not getting more due process than an American citizen.

Miller is a piece of shit who has no soul.

Here’s the issue. What is the protocol for people coming over the border illegally? Where were the agents? Those laws were absolutely not being followed and it’s disingenuous to state otherwise. There didn’t need to be new legislation to enforce those laws and because the administration turned their eyes we had criminals and terrorists entering the country. They were told to not guard the border, they were actively sending national guard troops into sovereign states and removing barriers. They incentivized illegal immigration plain and simple.

You guys are hopelessly dumb. We will not let you commies destroy the nation. Mark that down.

Also more judges isn’t the answer. Not even close to the answer. The laws need to be torched and we need to bring our laws into the 21st century like the rest of the free world. End birthright citizenship while you’re at it.

Kind of hard when you have presidential candidate who kill bipartisan bills.

Regardless of right or wrong (as he's obviously not wrong that enforcement of the border during the Biden administration was lax), two wrongs don't make a right. This isn't about "winning" on a fringe issue, this is about due process. It's an interesting hill for folks who claim to be patriots to die on, especially when a conservative SCOTUS isn't on their side.

Unvetted illegal aliens are not entitled to full due process. That's reserved for American citizens. SCOTUS ruling was not final either. It's not over.

Grok says that's a lie

'Yes, several prominent Democrats visited western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene struck in late September 2024. President Joe Biden visited on October 2, 2024, taking an aerial tour of the damage with Governor Roy Cooper and announcing 100% FEMA reimbursement for six months. Vice President Kamala Harris visited on October 5, 2024, assisting at a donation center and meeting with local officials and residents. Governor Cooper also toured affected areas multiple times, coordinating recovery efforts.'

But Trump abandoned them after he got your vote so he's a bigger POS.

I don't know what you mean by "full due process". Every person on our soil is entitled to due process under the law--that's something that separates us from Russia (for example), and isn't subject to debate. Yes, there are administrative judges/processes that deal with immigration and have been recognized as being Constitutional (i.e., providing due process). This guy didn't get the benefit of that. Not saying that he's a saint. Not saying that I want him babysitting my daughter. He may be MS-13, but if we are deporting people based on a 2019 police report and the judgement of a low-level immigration officer (not a judge, following a presentation of evidence), that's problematic. To not only fail to see the slippery slope here (and to go a step further and defend it) is a hard thing for me to see eye-to-eye on.

Disagree with your opinion here.

Totally respect differences of opinion. But you don't disagree with the second, third and fourth sentences in my post, right?
Just disagree with your interpretation that illegal aliens have constitutional protections on a full level. Trump is operating on an emergency directive also.
