Just take it back to Ohio.
How many of you read the actual article? Idiots.
Parker is a right of center writer who mostly lives in SC. Her son went to CofC and W&L and worked for Lindsey Graham and Henry McMaster. They’re family friends with the (William F.) Buckleys. So no reason to be afraid of reading her column.I don’t have time for bullshít from WaPo, I’m just agreeing with the overall premise. I hope the article spreads like the Covid hysteria, that would be fantastic
Dude it does not matter, some people have dug in & only believe what The Leader says! Hydroxychloroquine for Everyone!Parker is a right of center writer who mostly lives in SC. In the last 3 weeks I’ve traveled to 23 states. I can tell you first hand that S.C. is no different than those states. I’m not sure why SC numbers are so high, but I can 100% tell you that in the states I’ve visited people are not wearing mask and social distancing at a different rate. The attitude and idiocy of people in South Carolina (and I have lived here all of my life) is astounding. I am also a physician and the shear stubbornness to refuse to follow simple medical guidelines (mask wearing , social distancing , hand washing and hand sanitizers) is simply amazing. These are not infringements on your "rights" but simple and proven medical techniques . The given general disregard of these guidelines has led to a severe increase in Covid hospitalizations and accompanying increase in numbers of severely and critically ill. Despite what seems to be regular statements by many on this forum the statistics of increase are real and steadily increasing . Patients with Covid when they go bad go in an astoundingly fast fashion, and watching someone die of Covid will make anyone who has any sense want to do anything to lessen the chance of catching what can be a terrible and devastating illness ( and not just for " the old and fat.").
It's amazingly dumb to think that a virus that we know is spread through water droplets is not, at least in part, hindered from making its way into your body if you're wearing a mask. I mean seriously wtf are people thinking?Seriously: I’ve seen multiple post about how stupid people are from SC for not wearing mask. I choose to wear a mask in a store and have from the beginning. Not for my protection because the mask WILL NOT PROTECT you from COVID. It will however reduce the spread of a infected person.
Have any of you who proclaim how stupid People from SC are visited other states? When I left SC numbers were pretty low. During my travels I’ve been in many types of businesses. Some people were wearing mask some were not. In Illinois I had to ask someone to back up because they were basically touching me in line.
I’m back in SC today. Had to go to Ingles and about 85% of people were wearing mask.

Hydroxychloroquine is a Malaria drug. That's why it says for Obama to take it 2 days prior to arrival. He was prescribed the drug in advance of traveling to Africa.
Check the science. You are better off wearing goggles. Most of spread is touching eyes. Do you wear a mask over your eyes? It's amazingly dumb to think that a virus that we know is spread through water droplets is not, at least in part, hindered from making its way into your body if you're wearing a mask. Come on up to Northern Va, then. Can’t enter a 7-11 without a mask and there is nary a complaint. Mysteriously, the rate of COVID infections is flat. Wonder if there is a link between logical compliance and reducing the risk of COVID infections? In the last 3 weeks I’ve traveled to 23 states. You're 2/3 correct. We’re all diseased, backward, ignorant racists down here. Y’all should stay away.
Pretty ignorant not to consider all sources, limiting your scope is dangerous. But you know that.I don’t have time for bullshít from WaPo, I’m just agreeing with the overall premise. I hope the article spreads like the Covid hysteria, that would be fantastic
Yep. I work in NoVa every couple weeks and it is a different world that SWVA.Come on up to Northern Va, then. Can’t enter a 7-11 without a mask and there is nary a complaint. This^^^^ SC’s COVId rates shot up when people from the hot spots in the northeast started coming to the beach once they opened back up. Florida, same thing, and Arizona from all the Californians. In the last 3 weeks I’ve traveled to 23 states. I can tell you first hand that S.C. is no different than those states. Why would Californians flock to AZ. I would but I like the desert. This^^^^ SC’s COVId rates shot up when people from the hot spots in the northeast started coming to the beach once they opened back up. Florida, same thing, and Arizona from all the Californians.
By all means, wear goggles too if you want. But you and I both know that of course covering your nose and your mouth helps prevent you from contracting Covid to some degree.Check the science. You are better off wearing goggles. Most of spread is touching eyes. Do you wear a mask over your eyes?
Right. And it's been used for many years. It's not dangerous as the left would lead you to believe. Hypocrisy.Hydroxychloroquine is a Malaria drug. That's why it says for Obama to take it 2 days prior to arrival. He was prescribed the drug in advance of traveling to Africa.

I once again find myself asking how Georgia can be between Florida and South Carolina, with similar demographics, and magically not have the same issues. Perhaps the thought is that Georgia may swing blue in November and therefore should be overlooked. All of this based on the assumption that we can believe the numbers we are being given. If they’re true, I would bet that it was just as bad 2-3 months ago. There are now I think 170+ testing sites in SC. The disease has been here all along but without the testing no one could throw any high numbers out. With McMaster openly stating he will not and cannot mandate masks statewide maybe it’s a slap at him. Meanwhile a unknown pneumonia outbreak is taking place in Northern China and the country north of them. The death rate is proclaimed to be far more than this virus. How long before round 2 comes?

Maybe Arizonans flocking to California and bringing it back.
