Steven Godfrey is from the Split Zone Duo podcast, previously well known for the excellent Bagman article years ago that partially took down Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss.
He has stayed this opinion on todays podcast and I known it has specifically been 2nd by Bud Elliot from the Cover 3 podcast in the past that when the CFB super league is formed, school specifically like South Carolina will be left out in the cold and their fanbase is convinced they are completely safe.
Basically that Clemson would take that spot and the bottom (non producing portion of the big 2 will finally be cut loose)
Interesting concept because, the Pac12 has done it this year by leaving teams behind. ACC will as well. I think, it may be the end play in the next decade hat a super league is formed
