Let them permanently get rid of gas tax and I would be interested. Doing it just through the end of this calendar year is just a blatant attempt to gain favor going into the midterms.

I kind of like having roads to drive on….but that’s just me. Glad to see SC increase their gas tax to be honest. Industry was threatening to leave the state if more wasn’t done to improve the roads. Should have been done a long time ago.

We need to start adding a surcharge to electric vehicles for what they would pay for gas tax so that they are paying their fair share for infrastructure.

I’m as anti-tax as anyone, but I would happily see SC ramp up the gas tax if it meant I 26 was improved and widened from Charleston to 385. And maybe more gas tax and in exchange, drop the income tax rate…

Widening roads doesn't alleviate congestion, if that's your issue. It invites more traffic. "If you build it they will come".

Yup ... this is why I'd rather the state of Maryland REMOVE a span of the Bay Bridge, versus building a new 8 lane monstrosity. Last thing I want is more Western shore asshole moving over here ....

there was a plan to build a new span north of the current location that connect Baltimore County to Kent County, turning Kent county into a bedroom community for Baltimore City. Needless to say the shore counties blew that "plan" up and it never got out of committee

This can be very misleading. They may be wanting to lower taxes on their cooperate hacks but increase taxes on the backbone of the US, middle-class, to pay the difference. For someone who at one time voted Democrat, then split-ticket, Washington has become (or has been for a time) corrupt, from the politicians to the main departments, like the Department of Justice, FMI, CIA, etc.

Just look at the Clinton and Biden crime families. Hillary has already spun the facts of her crimes to being a right-wing conspiracy theory. I hope everyone involved in this (these) criminal act(s) go to prison. Hillary needs to wear an orange jumpsuit. There actually IS a swamp in Washington, DC that needs draining!!! I agree with you but lets give our Canadian cousins some credit as they are standing up for freedom in a very strong way at this time. The Canadian govt leaders are communist in sheep's clothing and we are swiftly finding out that the US govt leaders are the same.
