Time to ban children from churches?

Churches arent corrupt, people are corrupt. Islam isnt bad but people that falsely do things in its name are the corrupt ones. People(pedos) PRETENDING to be Christian so they get access to kids doesnt make the church bad. But when the church tries to cover it up and dont expel people caught doing this its a very bad thing and i wont defend them. At the same time if a teacher does this, i feel the same way. i wont charge the whole school unless they try to cover it up say like the Catholic Church... Again I feel the same no matter what, kill pedo's that rape little kids. Your outrage is only targeted at churches and thus selective. Its that way because you dont have morals, only selective outrage.
This (insert your pronoun here) was done wrong at some time in it's life. "It's" not looking to fix it or make it better. It just wants to make you hate it the way it does.

You know exactly what the preposterous lie is. The entire basis of the church is built on a blatant, blatant untruth which makes people vulnerable to other types of manipulation/grooming. Tie that in with the inherent trust that people place in churches based on these untruths and its an easy place for predators to infiltrate. No teaching degree required.

Bad apples don’t spoil the bunch, the bunch is already spoiled in every church you step into because of the untruths they gladly proliferate.

You’re a sad dude.

Excuse my Baptist ignorance, but Have never understood the Catholic
Nun/Priest vow of celibacy thing.

No man or woman is Jesus no matter their lifetime commitment or desire to be. Human desire and or need to be touched/loved/sexed will always come to surface. Commitments do not take away desire. Quite the opposite in fact.

A human being will need release at some point….with other humans. Sad.

Would it be the end of Catholicism if Priests were allowed to marry? Nuns?

It doesn’t make them a bad person. But they ain’t right in the head and I wouldn’t let my children anywhere close to them. It’s not how I want to live my life nor do I want my children to live that life.

Travelers Rest used to have a Men’s drag queen contest at the Corn Festival every summer. It was great. Leaders of community participated. It was like a right of passage in someway for recognition. If you were asked to participate you were a somebody’s type thing. It was very popular until MTV drag queen show became popular.

Then it became a sin.

I equate it to 1950s Television. Was nothing to see adults in same bed as their friends kids sleeping overnight.

We didn’t blink when Andy Griffith made Opies friend sleep in bed with him due to he and Opie rough housing past bed time. Now you flip on Nickelodeon and have to hear non stop sexual innuendos being shoved down our kids throats.

Maybe the pedophiles are ones that view playing dress up as sick in the head? maybe they’re playing dress up to just having fun.

The celibacy requirement is a point of debate among Catholics. I’d argue there are plenty enough adults for Priests to break their vows with that it should stand as no excuse for the vast amounts of child abuse happening across all denominations.

After that inaguration service, i could get behind a law keeping kids away from that activist bishop (whatever denomination she is?).

Are you talking about the one who practically quoted the Sermon on the Mount?

The one that turned it into a lecture for Trump. He didn't have the option to walk out or call bullshit (for all intents and purposes) so it was inappropriate IMHO. Maybe i'm sensitive. My first week back from my first Afghan vacation I'm doing the good dad thing with my wife and two little kids sitting in Mass near the front. The Homily rolls around and next thing i know i'm listening to an anti Afgan war diatribe. Yeah I had to walk out on that shit. But on a good note, i didn't say "this is bullshit" too loudly before I did.

Which part of the Bishop’s sermon did you find inaccurate?
