The Army did the exact same thing in 1992. Clinton cut the size of the military following the fall of the USSR. One of the things it did was that all O-4s (Majors) were offered a severance package and had a window to take it. At the end of the window, if they still needed to cut more they they would have a board and get rid of however many they needed to. If the board got you you then you got a big 'ol meat whistle for you 8-10yrs of service. Back then there was no 401k you got your retirement after 20yrs or you got nothing.

I don't know how to overstate this... but
Trump HAS to succeed in completely hamstringing the government.
When Democrats take the white house again (and they eventually will) the gloves will be completely off. When Leftists are in power they don't play.
Trump has to DISMANTLE every power institution and return liberty back to the people the way America was founded.
The government has to be shrunk to the point that it takes over a CENTURY for any of these problems to return.
If Trump does not succeed with leaving behind an infinitesimal federal government, I fear for the worst the second Leftists take power again (and it would be foolish to believe they won't at some point).

President Trump just REVOKED the security clearances of the following 8 Democrat lawfare agents:

2. Letitia James
3. Anthony Blinken
4. Jake Sullivan
5. Lisa Monaco
6. Andrew Weissmann

8. Norm Eisen
They are now forbidden from walking inside any Federal buildings since they illegally weaponized law fare to carry out election interference .

New York Judge Paul Engelmayer just forbade all political appointees — including Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent — from accessing Dept. of Treasury data, all based on Blueanon conspiracy theories!!
Those theories couldn't be challenged because the order was EX PARTE — meaning Trump's lawyers weren't warned, and couldn't weigh in. Only Democrat Attorneys General were allowed to argue.
The judge cites no law or logic to support this unprecedented order, because it defies both. The judge’s ruling is, in essence, that Scott Bessent simply occupies a ceremonial position without real power, like the King of England.
This is a grenade thrown into the functioning of the Treasury Department.
It forbids the elected government from accessing information about budget and finances. Instead, only the permanent, deep-state government can know what's being spent.
It means Scott Bessent's subordinates have far more power than Scott Bessent does.
Democrat pundits who whine about the Constitution are liars, and will shred it the first chance they get.
For now, the order is only for the next week, but if a court tries to make it permanent the Trump Administration should absolutely consider defying it.
Better yet, SCOTUS should bar this judge from ever hearing similar cases again, and every Democrat lawyer involved should be sanctioned.

This SDNY Judge knows he has exceeded his constitutional authority.
This judge KNOWS he has intentionally violated the US Constitution’s Separation of Powers.
Therefore, his ruling is NULL & VOID.
He only has the authority the @WhiteHouse CHOOSES to recognize.
Do not recognize him. He & his ruling are illegitimate.
@PressSec should go to the podium & issue a FORMAL statement from the Administration that they do not recognize the authority of this judge or his ruling & will ignore it.
