Agree with that, but it's shockingly similar rhetoric to the beginning of many totalitarian states. It's all about riling up the mass with blaming others who are taking advantage of you.

Just drawing attention to the fact that this is how someone becomes a Hitler, and I -- maybe naively -- didn't think it was possible here.

Upon further thought, at least this time, it couldn't happen here. That is because of how great this country is and in no small part due to the many brave, honorable (normal) people who stood up to enormous pressure to do their job and uphold the votes of the people.
