The problems in Vermont don't have anything to do with the problems in Wyoming and the problems in California don't have anything in common with the problems in South Carolina. We're a vast land with many different cultures and people. It's always been humorous (and aggravating) to me that people will say we're a diverse country and then they want everyone to do everything just the same way. It's idiocy.

So all that being said, a leader who recognizes the need for a greatly diminished capacity in terms of the power of government is the kind of leader who can help pull this country together more. The fear factor associated with threat of absolute or great power for either side right now is paralyzing our country. We have a Constitution with clearly enumerated powers for the federal government. Let's follow it.
