Trump would 'fire tens of thousands of civil servants' and 'gut the government' to sort his agenda if he runs and wins in 2024

How about coming back to reality dude. The dems are the worst at unilaterally firing republicans govt employees when they take power. Biden is even currently firing Trump appointed border judges now, so take your righteous indignation and put it back in the box where it belongs.

Trump does not want to fire in order to put people in there that only answer to him. He is going to fire currently protected political hacks after taking away their protection. They will be held to account for performance like 99% of us in the real world are every day of the week. This career govt bureaucracy attacked Trump like he was a space invader instead of doing their job and they need to removed.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!! i AM NOT KIDDING AT ALL HERE. DRAIN THE SWAMP!!

"Among President Trump's senior executive staff turnover reached 91 percent close to the end of his term, compared with 78 percent for Ronald Reagan, 74 percent for Bill Clinton and 71 percent for Barack Obama. While in this methodology, turnover is only counted once per position, Trump senior White House staff - similar to his secretaries - have turned over more than once on several occasions. According to Brookings, Trump has had four different chiefs of staff, press secretaries and national security advisors in as many year. Over the same time period, six communication directors resigned, with the current one listed as unknown."

How about you come back to reality and tell me if Trump would keep a prosecutor investigating his son or one investigating Republicans? You know the answer.

In other words, let me fill the government with sycophants who will do my bidding and my bidding only. Like a dictator. It’s so sad people can’t see who he really is. Or want America to be a dictatorship that worships him.
And how is Biden different? Biden is doing the exact same thing you are railing against but you don't see a problem there.

I’m kinda just meh on Trump at this point, if not going cold on him, but burning the whole fvcking thing to the ground is the only chance this country has of making it long term

At this rate we’re completely ****ed in 2-3 decades
As much as I agree with you, I'm gonna have to disagree with the 2-3 decades. Just look at how much destruction has happened in 18 months.

We'll be working in Chinese slave camps in 2-3 decades, if not earlier. Our supposed leaders have sold this country out for the all mighty dollar.

Trump belongs exactly where he's going; to prison. He ain't firing anyone. He got fired himself in 2020 and now its time for the icing on the shit cake called Donald Trump. Good riddance.
What's he going to prison for?

20% of americans thinki that we are on the right track as a country (the left) 80% of Americans think we are on the wrong tarck as a country (Consrvatives and old line democrats). The USA is upside down, the 20% is telling the 80% how we as a country will live. This will start to change with the enxt election back to a free democrat society not a socalist country with citizens dependent upon government for survial. The silent majority will speak with a loud voice!! The 80% will rule and make the best decisions for how the USA will be shaped. FREEDOM WILL WIN OUT NOT SOCIALISM!

No, I actually agree with you on this a hunnit percent...horrible idea...terrible look, and sets a precedent that the other side is much better at playing. Not to mention, while I was a trump supporters the first time, I'm definitely not now...he's coming across as crazy as the dems...I'd be for DeSantis, for sure...Trump has lost his mind...lol, I'm not trying to add to the problem. Now, he sounds like he wants to replace the swamp with his own...we don't want that from either side...I wish we, the PEOPLE, could clean house and start over lol
I can appreciate this take for sure. Most on here know about how I feel about Trump, but I don't have a huge problem with a lot of the Republican policies (economic and foreign policy mostly). I don't love DeSantis as he seems to have a little Trump in him as he loves to bait the Lib at the cost of getting stuff done, but I'd be willing to vote R this next election if you could get someone in there that's not an ass clown (I would consider DeSantis... but not sure I'd vote for him). I'd vote Nicky Haley in a heartbeat over Biden... Hogan of Maryland too and Mitt Romney. Haley is a bit conservative for me, but that woman is all business. She can get stuff done that needs getting done and she can work with others that she doesn't like to do so. She's got no time for pissing contests with the media, AOC, and Disney and that kind of ass clownery wouldn't happen on her watch.

Haha she's a bit conservative for you, and a bit too rhino for mr...it's truly insane how we can view this so differently. We are so divided...I absolutely appreciate your take...I would vote nikki over Joe tho...lol nice job on YOU, HOPEFULTIGER...real talk...you're cool in my book

LMFAO!! Good one and very easy since we know the DOJ is on the same team with China Joe and the dirty dems. They will put on a wrasslin presentation and then give Hunter a plea deal that includes nothing real.

Its all up to Trump.

Imagine thinking that Trump and his ilk are political outsiders that really care about you. Gee, that billionaire from the Upper East Side really gets me and cares!

Carpetbagger, and you lap it up
LOL!! I know you are smarter than that. Just because Trump and Melania hit the social scene and take pics doesnt mean they are on the same team. Trump was offered an opportunity to be part of the globalist guild and turned it down because he loves America and is a patriot. Its that simple. Its the old axiom of "you are either with us or against us" and when Trump elected to run in 2016 then it was on.

Whatever dude. Trump is on ONE team. Trump's. Always has been always will be. It's all about him. He would through this country and everyone in it under the bus if he determined that it was in his interest to do so.

He loves America so much that when he got drafted to fight in Vietnam, he conveniently had bone spurs? Oh and then to top it off, he asserted that John McCain, who got tortured as a POW in a war Trump ran from, wasn’t a war hero.

Yeah, real patriot

The same thing he did this time... declare victory (no matter how badly he loses) and say the other side cheated and point fingers at everyone but himself. In other words... just a normal Tuesday afternoon in Trump world.
But this time he won't have the power of the government at his disposal. With his ego, it's hard to believe he would put himself in a position to lose again, but he will and you know he won't take it laying down. I would expect a million MAGA march on Washington and an attempt at a second Civil War. Whatever it is, it will be insanity.

I need more information in this hypothetical ...

To be fair, Im more moderate than most of my Republican friends and where I unfortunately agree that Trump is the current leader for the GOP 2024 nomination, I still have to believe that the majority of the reasonable Republicans at least privately/internally see through the charade. Its quite a leap ... IMO ... to go from being unhappy about a election result to organizing a coup and prepping for a Civil War.

Yes yes yes ... I know Jan 6th ....but to be fair my friend .... most Trump supporters and certainly most Republican's did not participate. Shoot .... for that matter .... most Trump supporters in attendance didnt participate in the awful parts of Jan 6th.

One image that is seared ...at least into my head ..... from that day, is a image of a Trump supporter .... looked to be in his early to mid 70s. It was after Capitol Police had regained control but before Congress reconvened. He was outside just looking up at the Capitol, shocked, and dismayed at what he just witnessed. The look at his face screamed .... "not this, I didnt want this" .... Trump used this man.

any ways .......Im rambling ..... I need more information ....

1) What is the current state of economy in this hypothetical scenario?
2) Who does Trump lose to?

In this "hypothetical" scenario, there would still be 10s of millions of people who voted for him, and we know that the majority think the election was stolen, per the polling. If it was stolen twice "in their delusions" I wouldn't doubt he could work up an army of crazies.

Also, I strongly believe the economy will be back to normal by then and I'm assuming Joe or Kamala won't be the Dem nominee(hopefully) but even if it's Joe, I believe the majority of the country will understand the danger he represents and will hold their nose and and vote Biden. But again, I pray for a better choice.

What exactly do you expect Trump to do regarding the economy? Lower business tax rates even lower? They are at the lowest in decades, businesses used to bring in 40% of overall tax revenues, it’s down to 9%… lower interest rates? He can’t control that and inflation won’t let him. Lower unemployment further? It’s already at historic low levels (3% in many areas). So, not exactly sure why everyone thinks he is going to be this huge savior.

He didn’t do anything the first time. The economy was already in strong shape at the end of Obama’s term. Republican economic competency is the biggest myth in American politics.

odd post is odd ... I have never .....ever .... ever .... claimed to think Trump is a savior. I have never supported him and never will. He lost me fairly early in the 2016 campaign and where I did agree with some of his policies and ideas ... I could never would never support him because he is a lying sack of immoral shit, who has accomplished nothing in his life for himself. His great attribute? He is a excellent manipulator and superb snake oil sales man. He has successfully turned peoples religion and fears against them ..... aaaaaaaaaaand he has a smoking hot daughter ..... thats ..... thats ..... thats about it.....

I hope that helps in knowing my position on Trump.

will he drain the swamp as well as he did the first time around? or maybe this time he will actually get rid of obamacare? or will he could build that wall you were so keen on his first go round. come to think of it did he stick to any of his campaign promises?

Just my take but I don't think he was suggesting you were a Trump supporter, but your question about the economy implied people would be voting on the premise that he might somehow make it better. He was challenging that statement alone IMO.

Deleted - misunderstood the post

(I half-ass read the OP and thought that Trump was saying he would eliminate 'wasteful positions' or 'job exists so there will be a job for someone' in the government.)
