That I can’t stop thinking about - after a 7-8 yard run by Mafah on 1st down to set up 2nd and 2/3, we immediately take a deep shot downfield (incomplete, Turner stopped running his route) followed by another deep shot down the field, also incomplete
We need to focus on getting one first down at a time and stringing them together; in this situation you have 2 downs to get 2 friggin yards to move the chains and we completely squandered a great play on first down. We got way too pass-happy instead of trying to maximize our possessions and keep UGA offense off the field. I felt like I was watching the 2012 SC game all over again
The other playcall was the QB keeper on the 5 on 2nd down, I mean good God, that’s a scenario where we absolutely need a TD and not a FG and have 3 downs to get 5 yards, and instead of giving it to our 230 lb all-conference Sr RB we try to get cute with a QB keeper. Totally inexcusable IMO
