Isn't Elon on record saying he didn't want the credit to start with and just said he is ok taking it out with this bill? I mean there are all kinds of articles you can google from Dec of last year with him saying he is in favor of getting rid of all EV credits. Everyone (both democrat and republican) continue to read what they want to see and dismiss anything that doesn't fit their narrative. No one looks at all the facts anymore.

Both democrats and republicans should be in favor of reduced spending. The deficit and the interest payments needed to satisfy that amount of borrowing is alarming and could send the US into an interest rate spiral. In the end, EV credits one way or the other mean nothing. It doesn't move the needle either way. The rest of government spending, whether by the dems or republicans needs to be reined in. The bond market should be listened to.

LMAO... Like any and everyone didn't see this coming. Like I said in another post. EVERYONE knows Trump can be bought. Elon paid Trump almost $300 million to gain access to every American's financial and private records and Trump was glad to sell us all out in return for Elon's help getting elected. But we all know that Trump never stays bought (including Elon). So once Trump was President all bets were off and this fallout was totally predictable. I bet Elon considers his money well spent.
As for canceling his contracts, I bet Trump doesn't know that SpaceX is NASA's ONLY way to put people into space that doesn't involve hitching a ride with the Russians. Who knows when/if Boeing will get their act together. For those of you that don't keep track last year SpaceX accounted for more that half of all space launches WORLDWIDE.
