USAID

According to Democrats this was just "spending we don't like"

Democrats? You mean every single, liberal dipshit on this board right? We should have a roll call for them. I know yoshi, wap and ice were adamant that not only was this appropriate spending, it was paramount to Americas standing in the world. Again they’re being exposed as expert dumbasses.

It is heartbreaking.

Why are the people of South Sudan the responsibility of the American taxpayer? Why isn't the Sudanese government providing clean drinking water for them?
I guess I was just raised differently than you. I was brought up in the church and was told that if you have the means, it is your responsibility to help take care of those who can't.

We don’t have the means.

We are $37 trillion in debt.

While I agree it’s heartbreaking we should not be the worlds health care provider, police, or problem solvers when our own house is in disorder.

No one liked that inflation at 9%. It just wasn’t going to last, it was the #1 issue in the election and Americans spoke loud and clear. So I disagree that we have the means. Hopefully the Sudanese government will care for their own people.

We do have the means. The warmongers in DC would just prefer to spend an additional $200b/year on defense spending instead of the paltry $50b/year that USAID requires.

If they can afford to add another 4 trillion to the debt with their budget, they can afford a fraction of that to help those who don't have the means. At the very least, they could have shown some human decency and not cutoff their lifelines with zero notice and no one to communicate with. Why would anyone ever trust us again after witnessing the cruelty we've put on display since the Trump regime took office?

We will just have to agree to disagree.

We are like the family with the maxed out credit card and living large and we "can't find any expenses to cut."

The American taxpayer should never have been in charge of anything in Sudan in the first place. That is not taking into account the massive amount of fraud that USAID perpetrated on the people.
