oh really! How many BLM peaceful protesters were shot this summer? I did however hear about police officers getting shot. Did DC business owners board up their windows? Were police cars set on fire? Were churches burned? When in doubt play the race card. Even our new president did.

I also heard about police officers getting shot.

There were the Oakland cops ambushed by far-right Trumpers:

There were the Minneapolis cops shot by far-right Trumpers:

There was the Nevada State Trooper shot and killed by a right-wing conspiracy monger:

Of course, it’s been empirically shown that right-wing extremists have killed far more cops than left-wing extremists: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/nation-world/national/article196423174.html

Just amazing that you’re defending an attack on our government, the murder of a police officer and the injuring of over a dozen others.

Here’s the deal, violence and murder are bad, whoever is committing it.

Biden, Harris and virtually every major Democrat condemned violence committed by BLM protestors.

The Capitol attack was a coordinated effort to attack our government that included efforts to kill the VP, Speaker and other members of Congress that Trump not only invited, but was “delighted” as the attack unfolded.

But I guess because cars weren’t burned, you think that’s fine.

I'm not the biggest 60 minutes person but I thought they did a good job of asking her some tough questions.

Cool. Will watch and let you know what I think.

I'm also very interested to hear the 60 min interviews with Raffensberger and Sterling from GA. I gained a ton of respect for both of those men. They faced unbelievable pressure, and stood up for themselves, their workers, and the truth. They have my vote in the future if they want it.

I continue to be impressed by people like Raffensberger. Incredible pressure put on him and he stood up to it with integrity. That gives me so much hope for moving forward. I laugh when I read Trump call people RINO as if he isn't the original RINO.

She should have called it fake news and walked out of the interview to own the pubs.

How we don't have 10,000 dead bodies in front of the Capitol right now is beyond me. If these were black folks they'd be rolling bodies into the river.
Thank you for pointing out that you’re a racist and support fascism. I knew it wouldn’t take long. If you read up on Nazi Germany you’d know as a well....

Why does your mind even go there? You’re making up a hypothetical scenario that nobody will ever be able to prove or disprove. Do you really have that much pinned up anger and insecurity? If so I would suggest a few lifestyle changes, not joking
My mind goes there because of the complete ineptitude of the response to this organized protest in stark contrast with the military presence during the peaceful BLM protests. Tear gas was used on citizens that didn't even try to breach the Capitol perimeter during BLM. Armed military standing on the steps leading to the Capitol. Meanwhile, these guys are allowed to walk in with noose's, guns, bombs, zip ties, and intent to kill while Congress is IN SESSION. It's unbelievably hypocritical and the epitome of white privilege.

If you can't see that Trump is basically 2020's version of Hitler/Putin I don't know what to tell you. The election was rigged but the house and senate GAIN republican seats while the republican president loses (worst rigging ever). Trump installs a postmaster general that removes mail sorting machines to reduce postal efficiency knowing states are moving to mail in ballots for COVID. Trump fires literally anyone who says "that's not true" to his outrageous claims, including experts he just appointed a year or two ago (installing "yes men" only, no dissenting opinions allowed). Inciting riots, race baiting, the list goes on.

I would say though that the left seemed to self correct to the middle with the election of Biden, whereas the right seems to elect it's nutjobs. Trump won over a pretty strong slate of moderates.

Both really used the same tactic.

Trump was far-right on a stage full of moderates (for the most part).

Biden was a moderate on a stage full of far-lefties (for the most part).

But the democrats managed to self correct away from the far left and elect the moderate, while the republicans managed to not elect a moderate and go with a nutjob who supports conspiracy theories and hasn't been a republican until he wanted to run for office.

Me Neither:

Cliff's notes: 60 minutes asks tough questions.

Pelosi answers: Some good answers, some bad

Conclusions: Pelosi is a party hack who LONG ago gave up doing what's good for the country and started doing what's good for Dems. Picture a Dem Mitch McConald only not as pretty.

So help me with this. You think Joe Biden is a moderate? Haha c'mon man. If that's a moderate, I am terrified to know what a far left candidate is. Hint: Almost the entire Democratic Party is far left.

VP Harris posted the following on her Twitter titled what we are trying to do:

"So there’s a big difference between equality and equity. Equality suggests, “oh everyone should get the same amount.” The problem with that, not everybody’s starting out from the same place. So if we’re all getting the same amount, but you started out back there and I started out over here, we could get the same amount, but you’re still going to be that far back behind me. It’s about giving people the resources and the support they need, so that everyone can be on equal footing, and then compete on equal footing. Equitable treatment means we all end up in the same place. "

That's a Marxist point of view. Hint 2: That equals far left.

Also, Donald Trump was a Democrat not a Republican in most ways. He was never far right anything. I will never understand people's fixation with him. He got out of the way of the economy and things went well. It wasn't some magical policy he came up with though he would gladly tell you it was.

We don't need a far anything in this country whether it be left or right. What we need is a Constitutionalist and a statesperson. Someone who actually understands the intended role of government and tries to move the country in that direction. Someone who understands that winning an election means serving all the people and understanding almost half voted against them. Limited government, personal responsibility, defense if personal liberty and economic opportunity are what makes this country rise for all involved. What we have now is anything but that.

One of the funniest things to me is that people on the left rail against corporations but then they have all of them on their side and use them to increase their influence. You'd think people would wake up to that heaping helping of stupid at some point but they don't. Probably because they were most educated in government run schools. Public education was one of our biggest mistakes. A government should never educate its citizens. That's how you end up with what we have now.

I don’t like trump, but deflect to help justify your fascist views...

For half a year liberals rioted cities while liberal politicians encouraged it. If you voiced dislike for the riots you were called a racist....

fast forward to 2021, we elected Biden and Cop Kamala and now the lefties are demanding fully federal power to go after people who participated in a non approved riot.

I’ll gladly argue the democrats response to the capitol riot, especially after their support for cities to be burned is the most fascist thing I’ve seen in the last 4 years.

I'll take the riot that wasn't fueled by a fvcking LIE to assassinate the VP and other prominent politicians for $500 Alex.

Not sure why anyone who calls out the clown known as Donald J Trump is labeled a Fascist but I lean libertarian and have voted accordingly.

BLM riots were based on a lie.... so much so that the lefties are now pro police and pro police killing their enemies.

Guess you missed where woke whites called everyone a racist that wouldn’t agree with their communist views only to then elect Mr. 94 Crime bill haha.

but at least each side can call the other hypocrites while also demanding the government silence anything that they disagree with.

No matter how badly you want them to be, ONE thing is not ALWAYS like the OTHER.

My TDS was justified. Your TDS(Total Devotion Syndrome) created a monster. That's what happens when you care more about owning the libs than the good of our country. You don't get to high horse anymore, hombre.

Here is the issue, though - in your eyes - no matter what reasoning someone had for voting for Trump, you’re unwilling to listen to or respect their reasoning/decision. What happened last Wednesday was clearly and absolutely wrong. As a conservative, I’m cool with any of them who broke in getting prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and I’m pretty sure the majority of their political stances and values don’t align with mine regardless of what they call themselves. I’m your eyes, it’s all one and the same. You think everyone who voted for trump was simply misguided or giving in to some base ignorance, and that the delusion of intellectual/moral superiority you take from voting based on your values vindicates you from having to respect someone else’s opinion or values when they differ from your’s. I have no issue with you voting based on your values even though we likely disagree on a lot. There has to be more nuance than “my team good - Other team evil, racist, nationalist, isolationists (or evil, socialist, baby killers),” no?

I hear what you are saying and I absolutely don't want to group you or others in with the crazies on the right.

I absolutely understand why you voted for Trump in 2016. Many of my friends voted for him because of what he promised. They hoped he could govern more moderately than his rhetoric. He also wasn't Hillary.

I do think if you voted for him in 2020, you do own some of this. There should be no surprise that he has acted this way. He has shown us for 4 years exactly who and what he is. Republicans have got to get away from Trump and the Trump syncophants.

No, I don't lump you in with the ones I'm talking about nor do I think I'm superior to you. I was specifically talking to the poster I was addressing and others that think like him. It's getting old seeing those on the right throwing BLM riots in our face every time that we're talking about the attempted overthrow of our govt. and the hanging of our VP, because of the deranged lies of the most powerful man in the world. They are desperate to find a moral equivalency when the two things have nothing in common. I agree with yoshi above that those that voted for him again do need to shoulder some of the blame. It's also interesting seeing everybody backpedal now and say they really didn't like Trump when every poll showed 85%+ support among Republicans, no matter how much incompetence he displayed. Your votes brought us to this dark place, which in my opinion is one of the worst periods in our history, in every facet. So spare me if I get a little indignant with all the whataboutisms. The people that put him there own this. Period.

PS - I haven't checked all your posts but you seem like a smart, reasonable and decent guy, so my apologies if I lumped you into the group I was addressing .

Let me go back to my original point.

Pick any of 100s of places in the US (airports, military bases, embassies, prisons) and if you do some stupid shit like run through the gate it's lethal force IMMEDIATELY, ask questions later.

1. How the **** do these idiots breach four security perimeters and open the door to the chambers before one bullet is fired. That is beyond idiotic. That is without race being involved.

2. If you want to get REAL about race, black people are shot in the back while running FROM police, these guys are literally fist fighting and trampling police and not one bullet is fired. No tear gas. Nothing.

Now, if you want to address this post, stick to the first point. I'm not even going to argue race with you because it's not worth the time . Explain to me how the Capitol building of the United ****ing States is less secure than greenville airport? It's a ****ing joke.

I was pretty shocked to find out they JUST installed metal detectors post building breach. I can't visit clients at Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Goldman, etc without a bag scan through an xray machine and walking through a metal detector
