Election

I am not a conspiracy theorist or Trump apologist but holy crap Pennsylvania is a an absolute cluster. As are Michigan and Wisconsin. Pennsylvania had a spokesperson try to explain things and it was a disaster. Michigan had a block of 125k votes come in 100% for Biden at one point. This is a mess.

Source? There is a lot of fake news out there right now.

By the way... Biden received more votes (already) than any presidential candidate in history.

I think a better question is what do you know? Clearly it's not very much about economics. If you even remotely ascribe to the notion that people need to pay their "fair share" you're someone who doesn't understand much when it comes to how economics work. HINT: It's going to go bad and it's going to just addict more people to the government tit while crushing the souls even more of our lower wage workers and poor. Bad, bad idea!
I know it very well per my job. Check it out as it’s not much different from now and less on corporations and individuals compared to pre 2018.

Whatever amount of voter fraud you think is happening for Biden is heavily outweighed by Trump supporter's voter suppression tactics and gerrymandering.

By the way, a large number of states that have already been called are still counting ballets. Look at NJ, they're at like 60%. The margin is insurmountable so they've called the state but they're still counting ballets.

The current congressional district lines in the SC Lowcountry are hysterical. The last 3 places I have lived are Manning, West Ashley, and Park Circle (in North Charleston). West Ashley and Park Circle are in the same county and are <20min from each other, whereas Manning is >90min from both and has 2-3 counties in between. Yet amazingly enough, my move to Park Circle put me back in the same congressional district as — wait for it — Manning. I do wonder why the folks that redrew these district lines would want to separate out North Charleston from the rest of the Charleston Metro area and group it with the I-95 corridor instead ... 🤔

Ha I've never really looked before. They really hooked Clyburn in there.

The Biden tax plan? Say what? Maybe like the polling industry you should look into something else. :)

How can people vote for someone who wants to lockdown the country and destroy jobs? And raise taxes. And do away with fracking so we pay 6 bucks a gallon for gas? And overlook the fact that he was A participant in Hunter’s corrupt business dealings? And he cannot sustain a train of thought!
Fracking is for natural gas. You don’t buy natural gas by the gallon for your car.
And I could ask how could people want 4 more years of a president who doesn’t read the Presidential Daily Brief and lies, lies and lies?

let’s count every vote and let the chips fall where they may.
God bless America.

If - as it looks likely - Biden wins and has to work with a GOP Senate, he will govern from the middle. No tax hikes will be passed. No free tuition.

First order of business will be to bring Dr. Fauci as the White House czar for the coronavirus. He will put the US back into the Paris Climate Accord. Will do a few other executive orders.

But the far right will not have to worry about any “socialist” agenda.

I really really hope Biden's theory of the case is right - that you can work with Republicans and we'd just forgotten how to do it or something. I honestly don't mind a bunch of "compromise" bills coming out of Washington. I just don't think Mitch will let anything productive happen, though.

Easy - because we're tired of a President who takes the word of our enemies over our own institutions, insults and bullies our allies, can't manage a crisis, thereby causing unnecessary death and economic devastation, LIES to a disgusting degree, encourages and inflames violence, kidnapping plots, highway terrorism and divides us more than we've been divided since the Civil War. He is a deplorable leader and has done a shitty job. I know you love him because he insults people you don't like, which makes him just like you, but that's not enough to cancel out all the above.

If the senate ends up 50/50 that leaves deadlock decisions up to VP though, right? These georgia runoffs are going to be something.

For the folks raising the (valid) concerns about Biden running the country for the next 4 years when he clearly has lost a step since 2008, did y’all have these same concerns about Reagan going into his second term at age 73? Or Donald Trump in 2016 and now in 2020? All were/are 70+ at the time of election. Again, I’m not saying that it’s not a valid critique of Biden, but why should it only apply to him?

Facebook owns you. it's heartbreaking

Well i can assure you I follow more news sources on FB and get more information about the world than you do on damn TI. Legitimate news sources, not just random “friends”. Are you freaking serious?

right, my news sources are not TI. i probably go to infowars.com as much as anyone on this site. i also go to CNN, BBC, al jazeera, etc. you have to have variety in your scope to avoid getting in an echo chamber where all your thoughts are good and you only read other like minded thoughts. that's why this country is so divided. you most likely already canceled your Netflix subscription, but you should try to watch The Social Dilemma. explains all of this stuff and how they use your clicks to feed you more info and get you further down the rabbit hole. Facebook is a disease. the sooner we figure that out the better off we will all be.

Well you’re entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to mine. Right now. May not be that way in the future if Biden ( I mean Kamala) is President.

Amy, I know that we are on different sides of the aisle. But I'm here to tell you. If I could snap my fingers and make Biden win the election, I wouldn't do it... because that would be wrong.

I'd like to think that most people on both sides of the aisle feel that way. One of the things that absolutely drives me crazy about Trump is the assumption that EVERYONE will lie, cheat, and steal if there is an advantage for them in it. Climate change... thousands and thousands scientist are lying about it so that they can get more money. Doctors are lying (thousands and thousands of them) about COVID. The Deep State, thousands of Americans betraying their values to "get Trump". See a pattern here?

Of course there are people who will do those things for more money. Trump is definitely one of those. But I don't believe that most people are. I believe that most people (80% maybe) are decent folks who try to do the right thing and a few more dollars in their pockets is not worth doing to the wrong thing.

So your premise that there are THOUSANDS of people working to subvert our Democracy without any evidence simply seems to be untrue.

In this thread you've literally posted 2 random-ass tweets and an article from a heavy right biased, unfactual site. You're 0/3 thus far.

“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and to remove all doubt.”

I took a semi-break from all of this today to climb Stone Mountain with my wife and kids. Of course I kept my eye on the news the whole time, but it was so good to get outside in the fresh air and enjoy nature.

Obviously I'm happy that things are trending in the right direction for Biden, but it's not over until it's over.

I am also disgusted, but not surprised in any way, that Trump and his campaign are doing exactly what he telegraphed that he would do for months and months in this situation. Such a predictable creature.

Hopefully we will not have to care about what he says or does for much longer.

this is what the GOP has turned into? Demanding that folks stop counting ballots? ballots that were validly cast. just unbelievable. truly unbelievable.

election night was a complete disaster for democrats, we lost seats in the house we were expected to win and lost almost all of the toss-ups. We wont gain control of the senate. Do you see democrats banging on counting center doors demanding to disenfranchise voters?

this is insane.

elections arent over until every validly cast ballot has been counted. thats how this works. It is absolutely insane that trumpers are jumping up and down demanding that states stop counting votes. just absolutely insane.

Don't forget that they are demanding the halting of counting in certain states, and insisting that counting continue in others. It's so ridiculously transparent.

And as someone said, it's not that there isn't any evidence of fraud with the ballots or counting, there isn't even an accusation. Just vagaries about imagined malfeasance.

It is laughabLe that people won’t vote for Trump because they don’t like him! This isn‘t a high school popularity contest! This is about our economy and the direction you want for the countr.y! Hot take! You don’t have do like him and want to be his bud to vote for him! He has been a phenomenal President! Biden hasn’t done a damn thing in 5 decades. You think he’s gonna start now?
I am a Republican who voted for Biden. I wonder how many people didn't vote for Hillary because they didn't like her? I voted for Trump in 2016, I wasn't thrilled with him then (because of his morals) but decided to give him my vote.

I have served this country in the military and retired as a Captain from a fire department here in S.C. I have (and do) always treat all people ALL the same. I am all about morality and respect! I didn't always get respect in emergency calls, but I expected that at times. It didn't change my attitude, treatment of assistance to help a fellow citizen (or non-citizen). Trump has shown very little of this in 4 years, especially if you disagree or spoke out against him. I have never witnessed any leader lie as much as he did and still does.

That is the good thing about this country, we get to decide who we vote for. My vote may come back to haunt me, but I am ok with that. I have lived through many difficult times in my 54 years, and I expect to have more. Some of my most difficult ones have been in the last 4 years. Biden is not without faults and failures, who is?

I believe this country is filled with good people on both sides, and we will prevail! You get another vote of your choice in 4 years, maybe we vote for the same person then.

Best wishes to you and yours!

Rudy Giuliani going full retard on Fox News right now.
Yep. Voted Republican all my life just because of tax benefits as a high income earner but I’m willing to take a tax sacrifice to get these clowns out of there. Really hoping Joe wins. Just too much hatred out of the Trump side.

Just hard to take when I’m paying six figures a year in taxes and Trump paid $750. Guy has failed in every business he’s ever done outside of 3 that he absolutely lucked into (Trump Tower, Apprentice, the 2 office buildings in NYC that he had nothing to do with). Never thought I would vote Democrat but this guy has to go.
