So I’m in Austin for a chef conference and this guy comes up and starts to talk to me thinking I was a friend of his that played for Clemson several years ago. Didn’t recognize the players name but my size tells me he must have been a backup lineman. Then another guy comes up and says he grew up in Clemson but has been a chef in Asheville for the last ten years. But the one that got me was one guy was approaching me with a big smile on his face asking me something when I realized he was asking was I an alumni. When I said no just a diehard fan he just smugly turned and walked off. I would have never made it into Clemson but I bleed orange and Can’t believe people act this way. I wonder how many fans actually went to the school there a fan of? Probably a small percentage. I wear the PAW anytime I travel because it never fails to start a conversation with someone. This is the first time I had a negative reaction.
